2 hours of interview is amazing! glad to have learn more about the origins of PCK! We had Under One Roof, Mr Kiasu, living with Lydia, Police and Thief and etc... but this is the OG sitcom character that lasted for so damn long.. SARS rap is legendary indeed! I can still rmb the lyrics, no cap. THANK YOU GURMIT AND PCK FOR THE AWESOME CHILDHOOD AND MEMORIES!!!!

first time I saw Gurmit was he performed in my secondary school when he first started i guess. This handsome young man made my school went gaga , as he can really work the crowd I had never seen before . We were instantly hooked to his performance & charisma. When he became really famous I am not surprise at all. Even entertaining an unknown secondary school , you can see him putting in 110% effort to make our day . God bless talent he have 👍

I totally empathise with Gurmit when he shared about how insensitive the chief nurse was to his situation at that time. It makes me sad to say that a lot of healthcare workers nowadays have very poor soft skills and communications skills. But kudos to Gurmit for handling the situation so calmly and professionally 👍, and this is also a daily reminder for me as someone who has a passion to work in healthcare of what not to do and to always be mindful of everyone's situation regardless of whether they are patients, fellow colleagues and next of kin. What an insightful episode. ☺🙌

this is a good interview. Gurmit is so direct... glad he felt PCK is a character that will continue to grow because alot actors get "bored" of it after awhile. i draw parallels to PCK = Gurmit to Sacha Baron Cohen = Borat = Ail G.

Makes me as a foreigner outside Singapore wonder why all sitcoms suddenly gone after 2001 Living With Lydia and 1997~2007 Phua Chu Kang! Not just from Singapore but also from Malaysia!

One of the biggest testament to how good and convincing an actor and comedian Gurmit is, is the fact that he is an Indian man, playing a Chinese Ah Beng and the audience just fully embraced the character without once questioning the disconnect. I’m not trying to stir sh*t but if Indians were a majority race and Chinese a minority, would we still embrace it or would there have been a backlash - giving rise to a yellow face controversy perhaps? Personally, I’d like to believe that because we are Singaporeans and we are truly multicultural, we’d love and embrace PCK all the same ❤❤❤
