I had a friend in 6th grade her dad used to molest her and tell her it was the only way she could hang out with me or I spend the night with her. I never new how dead she was inside from this …it wasn’t until we turned 19 when she finally told me she went along with it in order to have me close as a friend. I cried so much for her because I never had a clue she went through so much abuse just to hang around me or any of her friends . This reminds me of a friend that I had when I was a teenager (now 26). I didn't have a cell phone at the time so we used Facebook Messenger to chat outside of school. She messaged me one Saturday saying that I was an amazing friend and was always there when she needed it. I could tell that she was sad and asked her if everything was okay. She started talking about just being tired of everything and that she was going to end it. I kept messaging her trying to get a response and searched through her friends list to find her family. I went through everyone that she had marked as family and contacted her grandmother. Eventually her grandmother messaged me back that she'd handle it. I found out a few days later that her grandmother had made it to the house in time and they stopped her from shooting herself. I honestly thought I was going to loose my friend that day.

Man listen I'm a survivor of the R word and all the emotions that he went through while holding that 🔫... I felt each and every one to the pit of my stomach! .... (I'm an Empath) ... it's so hard to deal with and I know it's even harder when it's a loved one. Smh. I cried so hard watching this and still crying as I'm typing. This was a good show, but very sad to think that it's children, women, and men going through this every day! Even if the incident happened years ago some of us still struggle with the thoughts and flashbacks and some of us might revert back to that time mentally and never come back from it... I'm telling u from personal experience that dealing with this mentally is HARD! My incident happened when I was 16, twice in the same year... different boys. I'm 35 now and I struggle with PTSD, MDD(major depression disorder) and Anxiety. I pray that I'm able to remain strong mentally and I pray for anyone else that may be going through something like this... or has already gone through it and is struggling mentally. 🙏🏾💙

Good film. Sadly things like this happen all the time and people are stuck in positions where they are too scared to share. The court system is a joke when it comes to abusers like this that’s why many don’t contact authorities…they rather take matters in their own hands. Sad. But check on your loved ones. Notice changes and signs of depression. Try and reach out without being too invasive as his friend was. Thats why it was easier to tell him and not his girl friend. When things like this takes place it completely changes your life.

I understand why he probably couldn't tell his mom, because he might've been afraid she wouldn't believe him and the most hurtful thing a molestation or rape victim goes thru besides the painful act itself, is to not have someone listen or not believe us? I tried telling my mom and older sister what her husband was doing to me, and my mom said "Well, u better not let him know u told because he'll kill u, and don't tell anybody else because it'll cause a huge fight in the family?" My older brothers would've helped me but when ur told as a child, not to do something(and I was thinking, "Damn, u would actually let him kill me, Mom?")ur scared and that death threat keeps u quiet? My sister had the audacity to say "Oh it's good that u told us in case he tries it with Anna", her daughter. I was 9 yrs old then and I tried overdosing on Children's medicine. When I told my mom what I tried to do and why, she didn't take me to a doctor, but she did call me names and told me to go lay down. Karma, can be an abused person's best friend because she made sure to visit every one of them and they didn't leave this earth in a good way? I'm 47, and I'm still traumatized by it. Please, if ur a parent and ur child tells u that someone's doing something to them, u owe it to that child to protect them? If ur a young person and someone's hurting u, PLEASE keep on telling what's being done to u, to anyone that will listen and help u?

This was some sad shit... He could've got off for killing him he had a witness(to bad he didn't know), the friend & the bruises to show. However, he never would've been able to heal from the betrayal of someone he loved😢🤦🏽‍♀️. Just sad cause this is life for a lot of people in this world
