I just used my first excavator this past weekend, bobcat e60. Super fun experience and here I am trying to check out something I might could afford

Isn't it a blast!? I just used a e55 to compare what a blast man. Mines still going strong. I'm going a stump removal tomorrow with it :).

Always check oil and fuel before starting any new machine that was shipped. They’re required to be empty during shipping

Did you call the Dig Line 811 for a mark out before you started digging by the road? lol. I knew I should have got this instead of the 3.5 ton.
@gunnerranchАй бұрын
No I have before I know where all my lines are. Haha it's a beast! The 3.5s are nice. And a bonus for you the trailer dont have to be as beefy.
@t.p.9232Ай бұрын
BTW, high speed is strictly for traveling. If you are moving from point A to point B, use high speed. If you are working, low speed.
@gunnerranchАй бұрын
@t.p.9232 yes sir learned that pretty quick haha no turning in high speed.

So this looks like the Kymron XH68D and the Groundhog ZH70D. I recently bought the Kymron XH42D (8400lb machine) and love it. The tank behind the gas tank is the Hydraulic tank, the thing on the left side of the engine with all the hoses sticking out of it is the Hydraulic pump, mine is in the same spot on the 4 ton machine. Rabbit mode, yes, its hard to impossible to turn on the dirt, its easier on the concrete or payment. You can make small adjustments in Rabbit mode in the dirt, it just will not respond like it does in turtle mode for turning sharp left or right. I almost bought the same size machine you got, but it would have been too heavy for my 3/4 truck to pull. This seems to be just about where I need to be with the truck and trailer setup I have. I have watched tons of videos on these machines on the internet, the bigger ones like mine and yours are really hard to get information on because there aren't allot of them out there and it seems like the dealers don't have specific information on them. I can't get a 100% answer on what the Auxiliary flow rate is for the thumb (it runs the implements). You kinda need to know that when ordering things like mulchers and brush cutters. I'm like you, was brand new to operating an excavator, I have 75 hours on mine now, digging, mulching brush cutting, removing storm debris and demolition. Its a great machine. Like you said, the Welds are Great, it has the Kubota motor and the pump and drive motors are upgradable to the Eaton and Parker pumps and drive motors. Since yours is bigger I can't tell you what mount attachments are compatible with yours, but mine is compatible with Sany SY35 and Cat 303.5/304 Excavators, they will hook right up to my machine. The cat one is a touch too big to allow the safety pin to be inserted on the bucket. I can have mine turned down 1000th and make it fit, but I have yet to hit the quick release to even be worried about it. Keep the videos coming, i'll bet you are one of only a couple of people who has one and puts anything out on them.
@gunnerranchАй бұрын
Hey man! I'd like to get into contact with you. Do me a favor and send me an email to tondss@hotmail.com. we should help eachother out. I'd also like to know the hydraulic flow rate lol. I'd also like to know what attachments fit mine. And I think I am the only youtuber with a machine this size that does videos. I'm excited to make them :). But I follow everything you say. And I knew all that stuff my brain just doesn't think to well when I'm excited. Lmao... getting to my battery is a pain in the booty. Also my AC cycles on and off alot it's annoying I want it to stay on. Haha

How much was this thing? Did you import it yourself dealing with the port etc? Or did you have the seller deliver to your door? Wondering because I’m considering getting a skid steer or mini skid steer from them and don’t know if I should import it myself or have them deliver to my door. Also what do you think about starting out with a small Chinese skid steer or mini skid steer for mostly home use? Check out the Derette V1000. It’s really nice and I bet if you reach out to Dean Sun he’d make a hell of a deal with you to review his stuff on your channel! He’s looking for dealers
