I’m subscribing because this is the second video of yours I watch and I’ve already learned the basics in operating a skid steer, grating, and material purchasing. In theory of course. I own a diesel and I’m purchasing a dump trailer for my small drywall company and I’ve always thought a skid steer is an inevitable purchase but now , with your videos. I’ve learned it can make money in all types of ways. Question, where did you get your bags for your truck and how much did instal cost? And you know the other details. I tow a 400 gallon texture pump regularly and roughly 2-3 tons on the bed so my truck likes to squat a little.

Hours for residential electrical contractor for a while and part of my job when I was working for them was driving the Bobcat going around backfilling the ditches they run the underground conduit in. I was so covered in dirt at the end of theday i literally looked like I've been rolling in mud ( it didn't have an enclosed cockpit) but man I had hella fun everyday I was doing that job. I've been working construction for quite pretty much ever since then and my body is broken and everything hurts. Point being I have been seriously thinking about doing this. Seriously let's wear and tear on my body. Just started working on my credit score so I can buy a new to me truck. Llokin like im gonna have to geta diesel 2500 or 3500. This video is already convinced me it's something I need to do! Thank you

Being a 3rd gen rancher. I've had the experience with a Bobcat skid steer for 20 plus years. They have over 100 different attachments to use. A very good machine to make money on.

I love your attitude man! So positive and outgoing, Right now I'm working at the hospital as a CNA basically, I only have a car at the moment. But I did a side job of sand removal for a beach house that sustained damage from hurricane Helene. The guy who was operating the tractor to remove the sand was charging 2,000 a day and it got me thinking how to get into this. I love your video and it's very informative. I just wanna know how do i start from the bottom up? Any input is much appreciated!

You talk about mental drain operating equipment...you should look into listening to ebooks when you work. Imagine how much you could learn listening to ebooks as you work. Other people are paying you to learn stuff, improve your business and it keeps your mind engaged. Hell, learn another language while you're operating your skid loader...who knows.

@@gunnerranch think and grow rich, how to win friends and influence people, “Hustle” by Josh Metcalf, etc etc. there are so many books you could feed your brain with while you’re in that thing. I tell every trucker I know that they are in a unique position to be some of the most learned people out there and others are paying us to learn. Imagine what you can do with hours of distraction free quiet time every day while you’re making money. 🤷♂️😂. It changed my whole outlook.

yeah, don't bother debating with people who do multi-level marketing. They debate for a living and they'll never shut up about it. just say no thanks and try to squash the convo. The same pitch over and over again lol.

Nice job. Never fun running tracks on fabric. Overlap the other way so when you back drag it doesn’t lift the overlaps and a smooth bucket slightly tilted forward while back dragging in float slowly helps as well.

I live in a town of 85,000 in NE Texas, I have the dump trailer and a backhoe. Were I to buy a tracked skid steer and attempt to get work at $500.00 an hour I would be laughed out of town. I have all of my equipment so I do things I need for myself since I would laugh at a $500.00 an hour quote too.
@gunnerranch9 күн бұрын
Miss the point. No one said 500 an hour. Your selling the full job. Think like a peon live like a peon. I sell rock and skidjobs all day long no problem I lived in Texas too.

Hey man I’m an Aussie This has got me pretty inspired My dad ran a bobcat business when I was very little Owned 4 bobcats a tipper truck and a decent size excavator He started off with a very small cheap old bobcat with no experience and Built his way up he quit due to mental health when I was 6 or 7 and probably ran the business for 8 years or so Ever since I grew up around that I’ve always wanted to do the same thing I’m just obsessed with bobcats and the scope of work you can do with them After watching this video even though I have barely any experience in a bobcat I’m really considering saving up a good deposit for a used one and finance the rest then kick of into a business! I’m 24 maybe I better start young

you failed to mention if you are licensed and insured for this kind of work. and what are your operating costs averaging? Those 3 thing right there are really what dictates how much you can actually make. Im not trying to take away from the great info you provide, but just provide the entire picture for those considering trying this.
@gunnerranch11 күн бұрын
It all really depends on where you live Most states aren't like California where you have to have 25 different licenses and five different Insurance to have yourself covered. Even if you are licensed and insured you can still make money doing Bobcat work very easily. If you are not licensed and insured you can only work for $500. I am here to just tell people they can make money to do Bobcat work. I am not here to go through every single little detail that they need to know and hold their hand through it. When they start researching I'm sure they will pick that up quickly. That is something I will talk about one of my future videos thank you
