“It really doesn’t have to be that fancy.” Now your talkin my language! Proper sealing and working properly are the hallmarks if meeting the standard. I don’t want ugly, but there is lots of room between there and ultimate expensive luxury! I am looking forward to seeing more

I am restoring a Six Pack 8 ft camper for my Dodge truck. Your camper resembles mine a lot. The side walls are my problem about half way back the window. I like the foam pieces cut , glued and foam sprayed. I think that is what I will do after the framing. Really like the thorough explaining you do. Would appreciate list of products you use and where I can purchase them.

Hey Joe 😁 You are very brave and have a very high degree of mechanical intelligence and skill. I have always told my son, “if a man built it we can rebuild it,” that is before things became so disposable.🥴 However to see you “eat an elephant one bite at a time” is very inspirational. Just picked up an 1986 Lance 780 for free and it very well may need a “No Fear Joey” treatment. That terrifies me.😵💫 If I may request more videos on “obvious to you” details. Like the metal seams and how they are joined and the best way to take them apart and put them back together, corners, side and roof seams. Some things you won’t be able make a video of because you have completed some of these areas. How is the siding put on? You mentioned staples. Where, how, to remove and replace. All interior and how things work, how you will repair like your vent rebuild. More detail on that would of been awesome. You mentioned the frige up side down? Is that a way to restore a frige and why snd how? If it seems obvious to you that it doesn’t need mentioning then make a video. Your experience, skills and confidence are way above and beyond average so me a subscriber of average experience, skills and confidence needs your unspoken, in between the lines experience and insights, your thought processes as how or why you decide to go the way you did. Just like you have done in your camper rebuild videos just deeper. Let’s see the tools you use and how you are using them. I noticed your little hand router is Harbor Freight. What’s the bit? How do you like the tool. If there are short comings to the tool what’s your work around. Thanks so much Joe. I’m going to go hit those “Like” and “Notifications” buttons. Looking forward to more.

@@ygallac357 hi Ed, thanks for the positive feedback, concerning the Harbor freight edge router, it’s a bit under powered for cutting wood but works great to trim edges on counter tops, this is really it’s intended usage, I will try to explain things better in future videos, I’m just starting out as a KZbinr and feel I should have started 10 years ago, so many interesting undocumented projects could have been shared hahaha. I learned many skills in my profession as an aircraft mechanic but obviously I love to play around on anything and everything. I will soon invest in better camera equipment and hopefully start creating better content, thanks for the support 👍

What sealant did you use?
@joelshopefullyhelpfulvideo30102 жыл бұрын
The sealant I used was something I got for free. It’s an expired aircraft fuel tank sealant called PR1750 from desoto. It’s paintable. If your looking for something similar I would recommend going with a paintable seam sealer for the outside walls and a rv roof sealant (like dicor) for the roof, covered with eternabond tape once cured on the roof. Eternabond tape protects the roof sealant from the sun and it will last much longer.
