Then she goes to work the next morning and bravely perform her day. She is always there when I need her (emotionally or spiritually). She always has THE bible verse that will heal my heart. I am a Cool sloth Meeee!! What an example! First female director of a prominent social organization and kept that position for 22 years until she retired. Increased their holdings by 1000%. Up at 4:00a.m. every morning to work out for an hour before she cooks breakfast and lunch for the family. I went home for lunch every day until I left home. In the church 3 days a week, and acted as the church treasurer. Clothes and hair always on point. And she had 3 kids in 3 years. Still there for us although we are grown now. Reading the Bible at retirement homes every Saturday and volunteering with special ed d children several times a year. The list goes on and I wish I was exaggerating. The best part for me is that she is loving, present, and motivating to all 3 of us. Superwoman!

T Y my father is an economist that worked with the government in a very public role. He worked like hell, obviously. But he was always there for us when we needed him. He taught us about life. It depends on what state and area you live in but 88,000 a year, that’s more than I make and I’m a LPN, where people’s lives are sometimes in my hands...but I live comfortably in area I live in. I would say 88,000 is more than enough for most “regular” folks. These host are living in mansions so can they really relate anymore 😒 no shade I love them but just keeping it real.
@CC-si3cr5 жыл бұрын
loni lives in an apt. not a mansion. $88,000 was based on nyc which isn't bad considering it's for a live-in. that same pay for a nanny who has to pay rent and other monthly expenses isn't that much for nyc when a one bedroom average is $6,500!

A live-in nanny also lives with the family, so their pay generally includes their “rent” to live in the home. So it’s that pay plus the benefit of the room/living quarters on top of it. That’s probably why that amount seems a little low for the work.

I'm really surprised none of the ladies knew why a live-in nanny seems so affordable. Live-in nannies are charged for housing, food, and sometimes transportation (access to the family car if they don't have their own). Technically, if that "live-in" didn't "live-in", they just might make six figures. Whatever a one-bedroom would cost in Beverly Hills, Brentwood, or Malibu is what that nanny is getting charged out of her monthly stipend which might go through an agency. Plus that is not a glamorous job. You are always at work bc u never leave the house. A nanny can also make a lot more if they have an early education degree, childhood psychology degree, or some other additional education pertaining to children.
@XingsPeachyAnus5 жыл бұрын
Look, as a stay at home sister & homeschool teacher, I WISH I got payed more than I do but most of what I do, I do for free 1.) because I love my sister 2.) because if I don't do it, no one else will. The problem with being a stay at home anything, daycare worker, teacher, nanny etc. is the fact that we aren't respected for the amount of work and love that we pour out into these kids. And the problem with getting paid so little is that people belittle us for said work. To many, this isn't a fulilling job, it isn't an important job, it isn't a STEAM job so it's viewed as labor work and not a job of intelligence. People don't understand just how much intelligence, wisdom, and stamina it takes to be an [x,y,z] & say we deserve to have so little because if we do it for love then we should just accept the disrespect, the bullying, the low standard of living, the health issues, the immense amount of stress, ect. and be happy. I'm glad that Jeanie & Adrienne are standing up for this issue because we neither get the credit nor the pay that we deserve. Just because we do it out of love, doesn't mean that we should be abused by society to believe that we are monetarily worth less than the amount & difficulty of work that we put in all day, every day for the benefit of everyone. The fact that I taught my sister how to be a good and loving child but my parents take the credit for my hard and loving work and I get so blantantly disrespected by 90% of society for my life choice is proof that we as a country have so much more to do for the child rearing workers.

1) The live-in nanny is provided with housing (no rent/mortgage) to pay. 2) The live-in nanny is provided with food PLUS a salary. I feel as if parenting by a father and/or mother should be based off of wanting to carry on lineage and wanting to love their children. If you have to prove to the world how much parents should make taking care of the kids that THEY wanted should not even be a topic. I like this show but this show displays too much feminism at times. If you feel as if being a mother/father is not worth it then don’t have kids. Having and caring for kids should not even be put on a pedestal with salary. We are aware of the hard work that parents do. But YOU decided to take on that responsibility. Even being able to be a stay-at-home parent is a blessing because some are not fortunate enough and both parents have to work at times. Parents also get tax deductions for children being a dependent from the government so people need to chill.

Live in nannies get free room and board and food. So $37k with no Bills isn't that bad

But how come no one is talking about how much of joy etc kids give you back? 🤔 And 37k/year for someone who doesn't need to have any kind of a degree sounds a lot to me. And it also depends how many kids you are watching after, if they have any special needs etc... Anyway, I appreciate moms, but it's their own choice to have kids.

I love the women of the real Lord knows I do, but the all the average people that I know are making these salaries a year. Not to mention the people that I know are nurses or PSW‘s.

I just don't like how Tamera was judging people who have at-home living nanny's. Tamera, you have the luxury to be at home with your kids and to take care of them when your off work. Some people don't and have to make ends meet.

Tamera is so unrelatable!!! Everything she says is just so privileged and spoiled brat-ish
