A real treat to see a second part; Carmine was clearly an absolute gentleman, really wish I could’ve met him.

I don't worry about the time to watch these videos. It is an honor to watch them knowing these young men gave their time in harms way, many never returned home. For every crew there was a support crew and no telling how many others to keep them going. Thanks for interviewing these unsung heroes. I wonder if the war effort will ever match that of World War 2 if we ever face war again. Thank you, Raymond for the time you spent making these videos. They should be required to be watched in our nation's high school history classes.

My father was home on leave from the Marines. His cousin was a navigator who was shot down over Germany. My grandmother sent her nephew a package that was returned and marked killed in action. That's how my dad found out his cousin was killed.

Any plans for fighter pilot interviews?
@jimh67633 жыл бұрын
I realize they are probably getting hard to find
@raymondmcfalone263 жыл бұрын
Yes, probably too late now. From 2002-2017 we focused on bomber crews. The fighter pilots tended to be high profile with lots of interviews - they just weren't interested in one more. We always wanted to interview a Tuskegee Airman - but they were so popular you couldn't get an interview. Anyway, we loved every minute that we interviewed the bomber crews. Thanks for watching.

Yes, he knew he was appreciated and loved - especially by his amazing kids and grandchildren. Life is ultimately a mirror - and all the love he shared with others came back to him.

Are you interviewing younger people who can talk about their older brothers or family friends, who served?

Carmine was such a good person I feel like he got taken advantage of some.

There was a innocence about Carmine, which is one of the reasons we like him so much. He surrounded himself with very loving kids and grandchildren. We stayed in regular contact with Carmine after he was interviewed. He had a good life. He was a good man.

@@raymondmcfalone26 When did he die? I so wish I could have asked them all who the biggest jokers were, who was a real animal lover or dog lover. Who was the kindest guy around. It saddens me that so many die without any record that really builds a personality to mourn. Carmine sounds a really soft marshmallow of a man. Who is so emotional, every time he thinks of family. But he looks such a little Italian sharp talker, in the photo. But he looks a big bloke, in his interview.
