What paint did you use for the base coat on the track, will you have another video covering how you finish the tracking weathering process?

The paint I used is Rustoleum "Weathered Wood" "Roof Accessory Paint". I got the idea for this particular color from an excellent article by Dave Vollmer on page 12 of the "2021 HOn3 Annual" published by White River Productions, and still available on their website. In the article he discusses the whole process of finishing and weathering flextrack to make it look realistic. I will try to do a video on this as well, but there are probably plenty out there already. The key is to pick a few darker and lighter colors to apply to individual ties so they don't all have the exact same color, after spraying on the base coat. Also, applying a thinned black wash to the base color brings out the wood grain that's already built into the plastic ties. And sometimes some black pan pastel dusted in the center of the track to represent oil drippings from engines. That's about it! :)
