Did you know that much of the video was blurry?
@muchfunwithtrainsАй бұрын
Yes. I guess it was a bandwidth issue…

Well I guess there wasn't any damage to the caboose or the engine and no derail 👍. But your video seems to be a little blurry when you move the camera, but I still enjoy your video.

Hi Burr. It would be nice if we could get a sand hopper car in n scaler.!!😊😮 hmmmm. bj G. N. n scaler.

If you have a "razor saw", you could probably slice a regular N scale 2-bay cement hopper car horizontally, and glue the top back on, and it would be pretty close. Especially if it was already a GN brown paint job. Although I suppose you might have to repaint it and apply decals.

I'm really confused with people blowing their horns in a classification yard as it doesn't happen in real life. when I worked for Conrail at Enola yard Harrisburg PA the Rule of thumb was never to blow horn in or around yard as it is super dangerous to yard crews on the ground. Bells were used Not horns in a classification yard because a horn sound has the ability to bounce off of objects and Railcars creating a misleading echo from another direction other than yourself as a Bell doesn't. In today's Railroading FRA Ruling Horns are a violation to use in a yard.

Thanks for your terrific comment!! It takes a village to connect all the dots! Most model railroaders (me included) haven't spent time on the ground in a yard or, for that matter, studying FRA rules and so forth. We grab a throttle and start running a train with a helicopter view of what we're doing and little thought for the people on the ground making it all work. Plenty of "fun with trains," but to make it realistic or plausible, the operational details really add. I will instruct my crews about your suggestion, and hopefully you will see the results in our future yard operations. Any other observations would be most welcome! :)

@@muchfunwithtrains another thing Not sure if you do already when running a session is any Yard Crew members have right away in Major Main Yards, what I mean is Yard Crews mainly brakemen will have Lock-Keys for switches that only they can use, mainline units have No control over these switches as there used only for Yard units, areas where Yard Units can skip pass areas or work around another unit without disturbing them. As for smaller Sidings and yards in a short distance from any Main Major Yard Brakemen will have Keys for those other area's as Major Yards run and work Local switching on them, distance wise little over 200yds outside, making it Impossible for Mainline crews to work. Just a thought you should know, which makes Yard Work in a session a little more interesting because Mainline Crews have to work around Yard Crews, Time is Money in a Rail Yard.
