It's good to see the inputs in order to see how they're used to create different effects in game since sometimes it can feel like you're going "How did they do that??" when watching something so fast, like how straight > kick makes it fly up in an arc whereas kick > straight has a flatter flight path closer to the ground but just watching I wouldn't notice the order difference

@thatoneearthwormthatmesses2623 It's been a while since I've played but you eventually gain muscle memory for where you are suppose to have your hands oriented. The biggest prob starting out is throwing Dud attackes that down spawn anything, but once you get the attacks down and become more consistent with it the more fluid your games will feel. At first it feels forced when doing attacks but just becomes natural eventually.. Reached Black Belt and decided to take a break from the game.

@zyvics2 жыл бұрын
I'm only a humble blue-belt, but personally I would be stomping the opponent's projectiles a lot more and re-using them. A grounded disc, when punched at the opponent, does 2 damage instead of one but only if it slides on the ground. I've found that hitting the enemy with their own projectiles is very disorienting and might make them play a little less aggressively. Also, my favorite strat against walls is to slide right up to the one that the opponent made and punch it back at them. Half of the time, it ends in a stalemate and the wall violently explodes. A quarter of the time I get hit by it, but there's also the chance that I hit them with their own wall.
@Lyigh2 жыл бұрын
1) A lot of their discs were straighted which makes it difficult to do anything to it really. 2) I could’ve used stomp on rocks in some situations but because he was sending multiple objects it became useless as I found out in a prior match. Though that made me a little too focused on parry so yeah I should’ve done stomp. 3) This opponent was good so sliding up to their walls would be a very considerable risk. It is a great move though. In this match, too risky. Glad you’re playing the game, and hope you continue your journey! Thanks for watching and commenting

I've seen some comments on adding a stamina bar and I do not agree at all. Not being tired and being able to cast consistently (even during high stress moments) is difficul enough. BUT I do feel you would need a system where if you cast the same thing too much in a row it does less damage (like in multiversus). What do you think ?
@Lyigh2 жыл бұрын
I like the idea of something that doesn’t inhibit you normally but if you spam something like you said. I recently discussed with someone something similar: perhaps there would be a mana pool, but it is VERY quickly regenerating. Additionally it would only affect summons dependent on size. So if you play normally you’ll be fine, but you can’t spam the same move over and over. Though if it’s about size then disc spam… idk. Maybe doing the same move will add on time until it regens
@THO0TH2 жыл бұрын
@@Lyigh You just gave me a good idea. Why not a mana pool for each cast? You can still be aggresive by being able to spam different moves but can't just disc spam. Also if you add mana pool you could change the size of those pools for more or less damage, that would add a whole other strategic aspect to the game.
@Lyigh2 жыл бұрын
@@THO0TH That would indeed solve the problem of individual move spam and add more strategy. The problem is, how headache-inducing would it be to keep track of multiple mana pools at once/ to have them in your field of view at all times. Maybe it's my own vision, but I'd like something that you can instinctively understand and intuitively FEEL
@THO0TH2 жыл бұрын
@@Lyigh Yeah the UI would be AWFUL but I do feel like after two or three month of playing it a bit of difficulty would be refreshing and greatly appreciated. Anyway, the game is good and you prove that it can be quite skill intensive so those kind of change would not be needed if they add content (like the ability to rotate object or throw in curve small object)
@SignalRaptor_2 жыл бұрын
@@Lyigh You could just not have a visible indicator, you have to get a feel for it kind of thing, with a audio indicator when you try to cast and you don't have enough. after all, it's not like earthbenders could run out of MP or anything like that, I don't like the idea of a gauge.

I kinda wish the shapes weren't so perfect to feel more earthy and natural. Like a noise filter or rocks could crumble as they rise up. Love the dust & how it obscures things, adding to the chaos. Curious how a small amount of ground deformation would play. The more you pull from one area, the lower the ground sinks without removing the full amount of material from each move so you don't get stuck in deep holes. Any plans for the developers to add other elements?
