@@MyRestoration1 i mean the ignition points.. its smaller than usual.. we call it the delco.(correct me if im wrong)
@MyRestoration12 жыл бұрын
@@melbinthomas1659 ah ok. No we call them points here.I don’t have any video because they just needed cleaning. The points gap process is the same as yours but maybe just locked off from a different screw but the same. I will have a video of rebuilding the whole distributor unit where the counterweights were worn. You saw a bit on the main feature video. If you subscribe you will see it pop up. Thanks

your bike has an alternator... not a magneto. Very interesting restoration. Bike looks great!

Thanks Sherman so I did name search to check. Both terms are used equally but happy to defer to the correct term 👍

@@MyRestoration1 a magneto generates spark for the plugs. An alternator charges your battery doesn't it? Your bullet uses contact breakers and a coil to generate the spark if I am not mistaken... But you are right, a magneto is a type of alternator... From what I am reading. Learnt something new today :))

Excellent and informative video but what's with the odd music and other background noise. It's really annoying.
@MyRestoration12 жыл бұрын
You might be right Huckinfarley. It was early days and I did not consider too much the background as a distraction. Sorry but glad you found some of it useful. Appreciate your comments. They help provide a better quality video! 👍
