Your first block looks amazing. I really like the little bits of mark making that you're adding. Wouldn't have thought of that in a quilted project, but why not?!

Lotsa fun sewing along with you, despite the fact that I’m embroidering a totally different sort of project.

wow this is looking so lovely Corrine!! loving seeing this grow. i hope you know how awesome you are Corrine! i love listening to you and watching you figure things out and think things through. i've learned so much from you. i'm enjoying my work on my just because quilt. it's all one BIG piece and it is quite challenging to manage it all. i'm still invisable stitching down the pieces and so look forward to the kantha stitching. i'm really tired of all the pricking from the pins!!! it is so exciting to finish sewing down each scrap. eventually they will ALL be invisable stitched down.thanks so much for sharing your quilt process with us all. hoping that all goes as well as possible for your dad. linda from california

I really enjoyed what you did with the upholstery fabric and appliqué flowers which I have quite a bit of due to a trip to Hong Kong many years ago.❤❤❤

I just got Jesse Chorley’s new book, Journal with Thread. It is amazing! Have you gotten yours yet? I’m anxious to hear what you think. I preordered it months ago! A nice surprise from the Amazon man today! I love how your quilt is coming along, you are so talented!

Ok got this step. I think it’s the back that will get me, lovely but purple flowers, not my colour but loved the look of this fabric, can’t wait to see next week’s instalment. Yep I’ve started mine, got the most beautiful woollen wadding it’s beautiful, yep found it hard to cut up into my block. lol it’s always that first cut. Right better get on washing to hang out (I have sun!!) then I want to work a little on my block. Um the edges of each square do we do an over stitch on these? Will they need this? Me I am at the running stitch yep very early on still it’s fun, aww I am going to use my birds! Yep this will be my main accent on each piece so exciting would like little bird houses on a few blocks, yep must be a New Zealander we are so into our birds. Have a great Friday, what is that rain, mutter mutter looks like I don’t need to hang out the washing after all. Aww I can carry on stitching! lol

Looking awesome. I have a question? How do you restart your next row of running stitches without leaving a stitch that's on an angle ie ( \ -- -- ) on the underside. Hope that makes sense. Love the fabric's. Hugs x and Ty
@tobelovedtreasuresbycorrineАй бұрын
Hi .. I hide the stitch within the layers.. and slip to where I need to be for the next row or next area.. I hope that helps
