@@pratibhashila9114 This question is a bit tricky (as too much information is given in the question). You just need to take out the information we require. We just need to follow the steps - Step 1 : Find out DO : It is clear - 125 mg Step 2 : Find TA : If you read the question carefully it is clearly mentioned that "Add 2 mL of sterile water". So, the TA would be - 2 mL Step 3 : Find DA : If you read the question carefully it is clearly mentioned that "Solution contains 225 mg per mL" . So in 2 mL (our TA is 2 mL) the dose would be 225 x 2 = 450 mg Step 4 : Watch the Units : All units are proper - in mg and in mL. Now put the values into the formula and apply the formula The Correct Answer would be : 0.55 mL From this question we learnt a few points - 1. All the information given in the question may NOT be useful to solve the question (as in this question "The vial contains 0.5 gms of Kefzol" is of no use to solve the question) 2. We should always follow the steps so that we get the right answer. 3. At times, exact figures are NOT given in the question. We need to extract the figure we need. ( as in this question we need to extract the actual values by analyzing the words of the questions - "Solution contains 225 mg per mL" ) Please note : This question is NCLEX level. I just wanted to deliver the message that if you follow the steps and apply this simple formula, all questions can be solved easily. Thank you Pratibha Shila for watching the video and properly trying to solve the question. Stay connected, we'll bring more topics for you.

@StaffNurseExam 5 жыл бұрын
@@imranahmed9202 Yes, your answer is Correct. To be exact the answer should be 0.55 mL. (As per the book - if we round it off, the answer may be 0.6 mL ) .. You have solved it upto one decimal place - 0.5 mL (this is also considered right, but always try to solve at least upto two decimal places.) Good Job Imran. Keep Learning and Stay Connected.
