He really isn't very good online. I respect his tournament games and heads up, but he is so proud of himself here over shitty moves where he makes a out half of what he could have. Poker was never about playing your cards and if you thought it was, or ever thought it was you must be relatively new (first 2 or 3 years playing serious) Even 15 years ago when I was 14 years old playing only house games it was never just playing your hand. You were reading the other players and betting patterns. Why would anyone play AA the same EVERY time. I played today and check called my AA to the river and I'm sure I got an extra 8-10 dollars out of it since the other two in the hand were blinds that checked it down to river. Only reason was because I hit a double up two hands prior off a reraise pre flop. Attention on me was high at the table. Raising or reraising again so soon would've had the blinds insta fold and only make like 1.50

AQ check behind on flop was pretty brilliant, only card he is really scared of is a King and if he doesn't have a king or exactly two hearts then he is dead to runner, runner, which was exactly the case. If he c bets the flop like 99% of people, guy just folds his J10 and negraneu wins nothing, instead he lets him catch up on turn and he ends up getting a turn bet and river call out of him. Just one example of why he is considered one of the greatest of all time.

How do you post 5 videos about GTO and modern poker theory and never once mention any frequencies in any spot? Sometimes you say a spot is mixed, but mixed could be 80-20 or 50-50. I think if you actually knew GTO well you would want to and be able to talk about frequencies freely.

The 10h7h hand at 6:11 is beautiful. Most likely a bluff from villain but the distinction between calling the bluff and putting him all in even when he only has 10bb left is so important. Shoving is losing poker all day. Daniel's reads r so fine but he doesn't just rely on his reads he also considers the best logical option. It's basically GTO + really good exploitative at the same time. Winning poker.

@ 07:49 I'm sorry I like Daniel but here he's just rationalizing fear. The guy has 10 BB left. If he has top pair or especially top 2 he's calling it off and there are SO many more combos of that than some random 7 that chops with you and a tiny minority beating you. He feels justified because the guy had 4 3 on a pure bluff and sure those are never calling. But to say it's wrong to raise there is pure BIONIC NIT.
