Just so you know, this is a known issue with these car seats. I called the company and they replaced my seat with a brand new one with an updated latch system.

Great video, are you be able to recline the car seat after completing installation? The Graco car seat that my son had before was able to change the recline position around between when he is sleeping and awake. But I found maxi cosi is impossible. Am I doing something wrong?

That's a great question! There is a recline handle on the back side of the car seat that can be used to recline the seat back. Within the manual, there are pictures that show the handle and the recline positions it fits in. Let us know if you have any other questions we can help you with!

What if I can't loosen the latch belt? When I press on the gray button, I can tighten the belt but not loosen it.

That is a great question! If you're having troubles loosening the belt, it could be a manufacturing issue. Maxi Cosi does have a warranty on their products! You can reach out to Maxi Cosi regarding your car seat to see if there is something that can be done to fix it!

You only can install seat belt AND latch if its a rigid latch (which means a bar) In this instance since this car seat has a tether latch you would do one OR the other. Installed correctly, either option is more secure. The reason that both are not permitted is because it is too much pressure for the seat and base.

I’m having such a hard time with car seat issues and with my son being that he’s a bit overweight and not that tall. He’s 3 years old, 63 pound & 40 inches tall. But will be 4 yrs.old in April 2021. So his weight says he’s ready to switch to high-back booster mode, but his age, and height says harness mode. I feel this one car seat could have answered my prayers, cuz the harness limit is 85 pounds, and I feel it’s the safest for him to. BUT I DON’T KNOW. I just want him super save and comfortable, cuz we do spend a lot of time in the car going on long car rides. Can someone please help me out with the right choice of car seat and car seat stage for him? PLEASE & THANK YOU

Great question! The main difference is that the Pria All in One can be used from birth up to high back booster mode right out of the box. The Pria 85 can be used from birth(with separate purchase of the infant insert) to forward facing 5 point harness mode. The Pria All in One will last you longer and has 2 cup holders where the Pria 85 only has one! Both seats are really plush with awesome side impact protection around the head. Yes the LATCH system is the hooks that are attached to the webbing that is connect to your car seat. Your vehicle, if manufactured after 2002, will have lower anchors in the bite of your vehicle seat that you can attache the LATCH hooks to.

Great questions Richella! Here are the weight limits of the seat, Rear-facing 5 - 40 lbs (40" or less), forward-facing 22 - 85 lbs.(28-52"). You could comfortably use this car seat with a child upwards of 6 or 7 years old. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
