PermaSEAL Crystalline Cementitious Tanking is probably the best for your application, you don't want to mess around with any sort of physical membrane sheeting etc, this knits into the capillary of the substrate and is easy to apply, that's my 2 penneth ! .... good video as always my dude.

Always known it as 'Blackjack' on the bigger sites its a liquid applied bitumous waterproofing. dunno if that is a nickname or an old brand. have a google see if it comes up with anything.

Could you not use 140mm (or 215?) block on the outer leaf rather than 2x engineering brick? Also, I’m not sure how much value externally applied waterproofing would have? If you run your dpm up the cavity face of the inner leaf, then anything outside of that just becomes a traditional substructure?

I know a guy who used roofing tar, and the inspector was fine with it. There are a lot of liquid foundation membrane products on the market. Surely any is better than the 100 year old untreated brick that was there before. 🥳
