Good morning my friend, great as usual tutorial, I stopped by a local sporting goods store on a whim last week and asked for small pistol primers, he said "yes, just got a new shipment" was able to buy 1000 for $44.50 not bad and a brand I had not seen Magtech but happy to get them and to top it off a pound of Power Pistol!! Keep you're powder dry

RCBS Cowboy Dies are the best i run 44-40 cast projectiles they load so easy and spot on every step Great video Cheers from Australia

I still have RCBS dies from the late 60s. One brand of dies that you did not include in your die off or die on challenge is Dillons. They have a growing market share in the reloading community. They were even featured in a T.V. series episode of Sons of Anarchy. As was RCBS in a movie with Charles Bronson in his Death Wish series. But would like to see those Dillons dies added to your test.

Thanks for the video FC 👍...I’ve been using the LEE .45 Colt carbide dies for 30 years (+/-) without issues (I load .452 for my CAS loads)...for me if it ain’t broke don’t fix it 👍...keep the reloading community thinking my friend 🧐

Well, after watching this, I just had to purchase a set of these. I, too, was having issues with other dies scraping the sides of lead bullets. I want to see if these Cowboy dies do a better job.

Nice press, FortuneCookie! Been wanting some RCBS Cowboy dies for a while for my sized .358 lead, but am put off by the need to lube the cases. Is lubing necessary, or just a good idea, when using carbide dies instead?

What type of press are you using? Also would a spray of Dillon case lube on the cases make the job a little smoother.

A friend of mine has a Bonanza Die set he got from a buddy. Did Bonanza get merged into RCBS? These RCBS dies look a good deal like the ones that he has. If anyone else has more info about Bonanza Reloading I'd like to know.

Bonanza is now FORSTER, they are excellent dies and I have several of their sets. Unfortunately they only make rifle dies.

This did not age well "Have no fear the primers will come back" This was made in 2020 its 2022 and the primers are still not back. Maybe he meant in another lifetime.

I bought 100 small and large pistol and rifle primers this month alone. Maybe it's a regional thing, as I'm close to CCI/Speer

@@peadookie Oh I average 200 a month but I can't just out and buy 1,000 of Remington 7 1/2 SR primers. I use to be able to. Can you? walk in a local store get 1,000 of those and 1,000 of Large pistol? Regional? Midway Nachez are All USA they have been out for 2 years. And now trickle in.
