Fabulous final condition. Wish I could get my Rocker heads that clean in that short time.

Good to see nice things coming together. It's a labor of love or going broke I'm getting back into my bikes and you've given me some inspiration cheers and keep pushing

Thanks for your videos. Do you perhaps have a set of bare aluminum rocker boxes for a 1972 Ironhead Sportster for sale?

Really good, where did you get the plastic washers that sit behind the caps.
@simonmaron3 жыл бұрын
Found them in my local store just right size but did not use it at the end, just an o-ring.

@@simonmaron Thanks for replying. The reason I ask is in the 79-85 diagram it does show a shim in between the cap and O-ring so wasn't sure, but I have a problem where my rocker arms seem too recessed, so do they need the shim or perhaps the spacer inside the rocker head is missing...Do yours leak at all without the shim.
@simonmaron3 жыл бұрын
@@bigtimejc1 So perhaps you need to put those shims, mine don't leak with o-rings only. cheers

That´s a lot of elbow grease! I´ve been trying to do the same. :D It takes time

What wheels / sequence are you using to polish? Cheers!
@simonmaron2 жыл бұрын
hi Jake, you can check my other video where I polish primary cover then you can see all grades I use. This is the same process here. I did not use wheels, all manual work with sand papers and paste. cheers
