✔Two features I truly miss about the 1300: adaptive ride height, and the electric windshield. If I can ever get used to the styling of the new R1300GS Adventure, I'll get one with adaptive ride height and the Enduro package. I totally get what you mean about not being able to bond with a ‘content bike’. I had this last year with my Transalp and I think it was probably one of the reasons I sold it. I’ve deliberately only done a couple of videos on my Tiger 900 in an attempt to ‘keep it for myself’. Enjoy your 1250, awesome machine👍😊

I agree with everything you said. I wouldn't want the adaptive elevator system, I suspect it will be hugely problematic in the long term. As for my windshield I only adjust it twice a year, higher in November, lower in April. I rather not have a windshield motor for the complexity, weight or higher repair costs.

I have a 2022 standard gs. I've seen and ridden the new iteration (1300) and came away with two things. The visual appearance was just off. The ride comfort was notably stiffer. The miniscule performance gains are not important to me and the shell game played to decrease the weight of the new bike were a real stretch. Who is going to own an adventure bike with no Center stand. Seriously. Your change of heart an ultimate choice of a 2024 gsa was very smart. Good for you. Enjoy and be safe.

But if being inclusive is your goal, I'll look forward to you mentioning Diwali, Hajj, Ramadan and Eid ul-Fitr to name just a few. Yes, it's a big world and the internet is world wide, but you are clearly based in North America Ian.
