Nothing better than a nice clean bright white t-shirt to polish up a pipe. That's probably why I don't have too many nice clean bright white t-shirts. Thanks for watching bud, and I just subbed your channel. I'll be checking out your videos tonight. Take care.

for someone who claims to be a novice you make producing art like this look easy! I'm very impressed. you should start numbering them and somehow marking them as your own. If you keep selling them i suspect people will begin to collect your work.

Great series and a great looking pipe. It could not have been easy for you to make the video, but your patience paid off with a great "how to" for pipe lovers. Thanks for taking the time and happy smoking.

Thanks Adam. I'm glad you found the videos interesting. I just make pipes as a hobby and have another big project going in my free time making a wooden carved pipe rack. Once I'm done with that I'll start making pipes again.

Just finished all 7 of your videos. I tried to make a couple of pipes a while ago without a lot of success. I watched videos to get some ideas and try it again. Your videos are by far the best ones I've watched. You did a great job and made a very nice looking pipe. The poker is one of my favorites. I'm getting excited to try it again. Thanks!

Great fun to watch these 7 videos in a row. Like a pro a fan made his own fine pipe from scratch to finish. Such a pipe would cost up to 200 US $ of the market place, however the real cost would be something like 12 US $. Adding similar amount for the manufacturing the total would be something like 24 US $ - in 2016. Its market price is simple 10 times more since not everyone has these machines and experience. Very nice set of episodes anyway. Thanks a lot.

Briar is an extremely hard wood and very fire resistant but it still needs a carbon layer to protect the bowl. What I do, and many do before our fist smoke in a new pipe is to add a carbon layer by applying a mixture of 50/50 honey & water to the inside of bowl. The honey water mixture soaks into the walls of the bowl letting some of the sugars to penetrate into the wood. Once it dries your first smoke will turn the sugar into a carbon layer to protect the briar. It will then build over time.

Thank you very much! I truly appreciate it and I'm glad you found it helpful. What a thorough and complete record of all the stages. I ordered my first mini lathe today and this has been a great help. After I do all the beginner stuff, my long term aim is to make pipes. Maybe E-pipes too. Thank you
@kraigseder10 жыл бұрын
I am needing a good small lathe myself for turning the bow, shank and the stem. Good luck and have fun with the pipe making. It's just a hobby for me but it's a lot of fun. I bet there would be a good market for quality e-pipes made of pretty woods. Since it's an e-pipe you could go with woods that would be dangerous to use in a traditional tobacco pipe.
