That looks like a bunch of fun. I couldn't believe you didn't do input shaft and tail shaft seals, but then you wobbled the input shaft and I thought, oh, it doesn't matter much. That transmission's remaining life is measured in hours rather than miles or years.

I built a square body with my dad's help when I was a kid and it's fun to pass that knowledge along. Just this last weekend my older boy picked out a short bed from the boneyard out back and started working on it for he and I to restore. It brings back a lot of good memories. @@papilloncycles3463 yeah I'm sure I'll hook it up. I actually noticed when I was doing the trans that the wire is wrapped up in the steering knuckle so it's just a matter of untangling it and crimping a new end on. One of these days but not real high on the list.

Got her going and sold it to a young fella in the Navy. He had it towed down to Norfolk and planned to V8 swap it and restore it. Never got an update but it's better than the scrap yard where it would've ended up. 👍

The VIN matches to a 1970 but the grill at least has been swapped out. It's titled as a 70 though so that's what I go with. Fair number of these trucks have been pieces together over the years. Thanks for watching!
