When mama (Mamie) said that them two "really bore the mark of cain", I felt her faith in The Most High, I KNEW she gave that situation to The Most High. That's why she was able to have a manly stomach with womanly thoughts. No one knows The Wisdom of The Most High and no one can discern Him.. no one can say why Emmett was placed here, but I CAN say that listening to her and of course knowing about this situation as a little girl and growing up recalling it. I can learn from her just as I do The Word, to give it to The Most High. No one can touch Him or repay vengeance to Him.

Those men did an awful horrendous thing to a child and no, the courts didn't punish them but they were punished in other ways. I so admire Miss Mamie for her strength and bravery. I love the fact that when she found out that the fruit stand was from the murders she walked away. She is an inspiration.
