Part 9 - 1969 Sea Ray SRV185 - Engine Cover

Part nine of the series on rebuilding a 1969 Sea Ray. Building a new engine lid for the new engine compartment. Re-using rescued/reclaimed teak from an old bench. This is a project I did before I started this channel, so it is a mix of photos with video narration.
We had an old bench with a broken frame sitting in the corner of our property - left there by the previous owners. We noticed it was kinda heavy when we went to move it, and then realized that it was teak. So... we cleaned up the wood, ran some of it through a table saw, and found a new use for it!
Never know what you can find when you clean up the yard...
That's part of the fun doing a DIY rebuild/restoration project like this - you can be creative in what you do and how you solve problems.
