I’ve heard a bunch of dermatologists on KZbin say that growth factors and peptides likely never make it into the skin. Dr Drey says they are all a waste of money

Hi Dr. Marie, yes this video is actually very skincare “nerdy” yet so interesting. I very much like all your videos anyway. Thanks to you I’ve started using Alastin Restorative Skin Complex in my skincare routine about 1 month ago in addition to tretinoin .1% and Osmosis StemCell growth factors to address facial sagging skin/jowls. Are copper peptides a must in this regard and does the Alastin Restorative Skin Complex TriHex Technology provide them? Also, would micro needling be helpful to lift the skin? Thank you for your advice and for sharing with us your skincare expertise.👍😉

Microneedling is great. It causes "micro trauma" that stimulates the healing process, but you need 3-5 sessions to see a difference because results are subtle. For more of a tightening effect, I would say microneedling with radiofrequency is more effective and my favorite device at the moment is the Sylfirm X. It has a patented technology that no other machine has. Copper is very important but we get the necessary amounts through a healthy diet. Some foods that contain copper include veggies, avocado, seafood, mushrooms and much more. In terms of supplements, copper levels can drop from supplements like vitamin C, zinc, selenium, manganese. Copper is also toxic at high levels, so I prefer a healthy diet and only supplement if you are taking significant amounts of the above mentioned vitamins.

The only peptides that I know work and do a good job are from Alastin. in terms of exosomes, I am only aware of exosomes you get with a service at a doctor's office or bedspa. I don't know of exosomes you can buy. Benev makes exosomes and I use Evolutionary Biologics.

Thank you. May I make the respectful comment that if you put Part 1 as the title and state at the beginning of the video it is part 1, listeners are going to automatically go look for part 2. And it isn't there. One of the reasons it's a good idea to make a part 2, 3, or however many are appropriate, listeners will will be predisposed to listen to the next one, and KZbin lists them right next to the video that's playing at the time. Perhaps the title that is actually Part 2 doesn't sound appealing all on its own, but when you know it's the next video, a follow up after the one you just watched, it's an entirely different story. Of course when you number videos like this they need to essentially be about the same subject in order to maintain integrity and trust. After over 30 years as a small business consultant, this sort of thing comes naturally to mind and I hope you find it helpful.
