I finally got around to starting a skincare regimen a few months ago. Had "The Buffet with copper peptides" on my wishlist. In the meantime, had gotten a little bottle of the Biossance one with my points at Sephora. I tend to sometimes be sensitive to random things and this turned out to be one of them? Unfortunately broke me out. I then went ahead and got the one from The Ordinary and thankfully haven't had any problems.
@shj73462 жыл бұрын
The Ordinary's formulations are awful and I wouldn't trust them with vitamin C, retinol, peptides or anything else that uses effort to keep active in a product. Their lactic acid is also useless and does nothing due to having too low an FAV from poor formulation. It literally does nothing. My advice is to steer clear.

I adore the Ordinary Buffet with copper peptides. I was making the mistake of using my granactive retinol 5% with squalline.( don't think I spelled that right ) I didn't know they cancel one another out. So I am now using buffet and copper serum in the AM and the retinoid in the evening. I am 37, I have had a little botox but never on the eye area. I am so so happy with the results. been using these products for 7 months and honestly I am blown away by how far science in skin care has come. I am such a nerd and love these video. Thanks for the tips! Also vitamin C and me have a love hate relationship! I often find I react badly to it and get stinging and little red raised bumps after use. Had to stop. I tend to stick with the ordinary as it's reliable, affordable etc. Does anyone have any other products that are the same but a different brand, or even better than the Ordinary, that won't bankrupt me? Great video, thanks. Huge fan from Scotland.

I have read and heard so many reports that state that peptides are far too large to actually penetrate the skin. Do you know of any actual studies that have looked at whether or not any peptides can fit past the epidermis or do they even need to if they are able to send chemical signals which allow for the benefits to occur? Thank you so much for mentioning the Jargon that The Ordinary (and other companies) use to make peptides sound like prescription miracle drugs, as opposed to a topical solution.

I use the ordinary product line. I haven't used the product they have with copper in it as it's not very friendly with other products. You have to understand this product line do you know what you can use to gather and what you can't. Rule thumb is retinol usually doesn't play well with antioxidants and direct acids. However, the key is to these conflicting products at opposite times of the day. I use niacinamide with zinc, Resveratrol antioxidant, sunscreen in the a.m. I use the buffet Serum, retinol in squalane, and they're moisturizer at night. Also understanding that water-based serums first and allowed to dry, apply water free serums next, then gels, then creams. You will know if you put them on out of order because you will have a pulling type of feel on your face. Anyway, I'll just wanted to talk about the ordinary product line. It's more potent than what you would buy in the drugstore but not as potent as what you would get in a dermatologist office; however, over time it will work.

Im shocked that there was no discussion on the delicacy of these peptides. 10:37 the guys banging it on the table. I mean ok, probably not that bad realistifcally especially compared to shaking it but people peptides are fragile and even more after being mixed with a solution. And they should always be stored in the fridge after being mixed (freezer before). The stability of GHK-Cu (copper tripeptide-1) in solution at room temperature can vary depending on several factors, including the composition of the solution, the concentration of GHK-Cu, the presence of other ingredients or contaminants, and the specific storage conditions (such as light exposure and container material). GHK-Cu is a complex of the peptide GHK (glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine) and copper ions. GHK-Cu, or copper tripeptide-1, is generally considered to be moderately stable, but like many peptides, its stability can be influenced by various factors. The stability of GHK-Cu is crucial in its effectiveness, especially in biomedical and cosmetic applications where it is valued for its skin regeneration, wound healing, and anti-aging properties. Factors influencing the stability of GHK-Cu include: pH Levels: The stability of GHK-Cu can be affected by the pH of the solution it is in. It tends to be more stable in neutral to slightly acidic pH levels. Temperature: Higher temperatures can lead to faster degradation of peptides, including GHK-Cu. Therefore, it is often recommended to store GHK-Cu solutions in a cool environment, preferably refrigerated, to maintain their stability. Light and Oxygen Exposure: Exposure to light, particularly UV light, and oxygen can lead to oxidation and degradation of peptides. GHK-Cu solutions should be stored in airtight containers that are opaque or light-resistant to minimize this risk. Concentration and Formulation: The concentration of GHK-Cu and the presence of other ingredients in a formulation can also affect its stability. Formulators need to consider interactions with other components of the product. Container Material: The material of the container in which GHK-Cu is stored can influence its stability. Containers that do not react with copper or the peptide, such as glass or certain plastics, are preferable. Handling and Storage: Proper handling and storage are crucial for maintaining the stability of GHK-Cu. This includes minimizing exposure to air, light, and heat, and using clean, non-reactive equipment. In practical terms, these factors mean that GHK-Cu, when used in cosmetic or pharmaceutical products, often requires careful formulation and packaging to ensure its stability and efficacy over the lifespan of the product. Manufacturers typically provide specific storage instructions and shelf life information based on their formulation and testing. The instructions and box should 100% have this highlighted.

Love you guyz❤️. Could you please make a video how to cure hormonal acne and what should cutoff from diet and what we should add in our diet.

I was so proud of myself for deciding to go against the copper tripeptide trend & now you’ve turned me around. I tried the The Ordinary serum & wasn’t impressed. Now I’m super intrigued by the Biossance. Grrrr. The only things you mentioned not using copper with is Vit C and Kojic acid. What about retinol and AHA acids? TO says no but Deciem has all kinds of contradictions for several products but I’m inclined to think that it’s either their formulations and/or they are just super cautious. They also say not to use with “strong” antioxidants (I have no idea what that means) but you said it is in of itself an antioxidant. Thoughts?

Could copper peptides be used in the pm before or after trentinoin?

Such a good question. I've looked it up all over the place since I got a moisturizer with copper peptides last year, and it seems they don't play well with others at all. I use tret at night, copper peptide moisturizer in the morning. Great results as far as skin texture so far, only started using it daily about a month ago.

Brilliant as always! Question...I have not heard in any of your videos as of yet your thoughts on jar packaging. Is it true once opened and exposed to air that antioxidants and other more fragile ingredients are rendered useless? Please tell us the science! ❤ from 🇨🇦

Question: if copper is a cofactor for tyrosinase, can that lead to more PIH on someone with a deeper skin tone and acne?

I thought we addressed this in the video but it must have gotten cut in post-production! There’s no evidence that it has ever done that but, theoretically, it’s possible! Great thinking, we thought the same thing

Why have you guys never told us about copper in all the other videos about essential skincare ingredients?!?! Also what do you guys think about matrixyl 3000 and matrixyl synthe 6? Please and thank you.

Skinlyte has a soap that is loaded not only with collagen but also keratin peptides. It is fast absorbed because it has an enhanced binding enhancement technology which produces a water molecule that hydrates skin and hair. It repairs, rebuilds and strengthens hair and skin. I got it at Amazon and I am impressed with new benefits I discover every time I use it. I noticed many improvements in my hair, skin and nails. What I like best about it is that it's all natural and without harmful chemicals such as synthetic dyes, fragrance, SLS or preservatives.

I have a connective tissues disorder (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome) which affects the production of collagen. I’d be very interested to hear your take on skin care/skin issues with conditions like this as it is not a case of adding collagen - our bodies just convert it into faulty collagen. Have you ever heard of Ehlers Danlos or do you have any treatment tips for patients like myself?
