I live in Iceland and was extremely confused by the name "Margrét Þóra Hallgrímsson", as that would imply that Þóra was a man (-son rather than -dóttir). You read Icelandic patronymics like "Margrét Þóra, Son/Daughter of Hallgrímur" - they're not inherited (like western surnames), but simply state who your father is. But apparently her father was born in Canada, and there they had turned her grandfather's patronymic into a typical western surname, since Canada doesn't do patronymics. There, Þóra's father had inherited this surname, and then Þóra inherited it, despite being born in Iceland. But it was probably pretty awkward to her living in Iceland! ... Further, her story is interesting, in that after she divorced him, she moved back to Iceland, remarried, and gave birth to one additional child: Björgólfur Thor, Iceland's first billionaire and one of the wealthiest people in the world - who later was one of the people responsible for the devastating 2008 Icelandic financial crisis.

This is hilarious! A long time ago I had a big fat wad of racist materials, small magazines, pamphlets, etc. They'd been given by the notorious "Von Dutch" to a friend of mine who was probably the last person "Von Dutch" was friends with, and then this friend passed the stack 'o' racism to me. Rockwell was a creep but he had a sense of humor and his cartoons were actually fairly good. Keep in mind he was not only a racist but came from a time when things like tying tin cans to puppy's tails and the "hot foot" where matches were somehow wedged into an unsuspecting person's shoe and then lit, were considered top-flight humor.

This is persistent from other episodes, and it's interesting how they would point out how bad the far right is but never seem to point out the other side with the same coin.
