divaaBee I have CCCA as well as my mother, aunt, and my sister is showing signs of it. My dermatologist caution me to be gentle with my hair, but told it was perfectly fine to style/ braid my hair. Alot of people think its only tension or hair products that cause hair loss and that's simply not true. I actually find that my hair does better while in a style because any other time my hair itches like crazy and I scratch til I bleed. Alopecia is a hard and embarrassing thing to deal with, and I thank you for what you are doing. People dont realize the hopelessness you feel when you lose hair because you think about all the simple things like wearing a pony tail that you cant or barely can do. Keep up the good work!

LiveLaughLove Always thank you so much for sharing your story! Some people just don’t grasp or think in depth; all they see is hair loss and automatically concludes that braids are definitely a no go. That’s not always the case. I do TWO CLIENT CONSULTATIONS on my clients with alopecia. One prior to them booking (they send videos and pictures of their hair/areas of alopecia) and a brief summary of their hair loss. We go from there determining whether or not i even feel they should book with me. Once I feel that they can proceed to booking (i initially tell majority of my alopecia clients to book lemonades appointment first, because i know the lemonades style is best comfortable for me for them) their second consultation is me hands on analyzing their hair, checking the elasticity, etc and further discussing the ins and out on how their alopecia started and etc. from there is where I determine, “okay, i still feel comfortable with servicing you and I feel to MY best knowledge that this service will not further cause harm/damage” and then we proceed with the service. I discuss with them the ends and outs of the style and etc etc. after their services, i be SURE to check on them especially and see if there’s any pulling, irritation, ANYTHING out of the ordinary. I Make sure my clients are GOOOOOOD, always! And that’s why God blesses me to continue what I’m doing because He and people like you and those who understand these unfortunate circumstances know that i do this solely from the heart. I would NEVER jeopardize a woman’s hair, her head, her crown, for a coin. Never. I do this all out of love and because it’s one of my purposes here on Earth: to bless though through my hands. God will never lead me wrong, so this is what he’s showcasing through me and I will continue to do so. I thank you so much again for the love and support and the courage to tell your story, forreal! I love you and God bless you and your family 😘😘😘😘 let me know if you’re ever in Columbia SC i would love to service you

divaaBee continue to service your clients with the heart you have and God will continue to bless your hands and your business. I know there alot of women out that dont understand that alopecia can be caused by so many other things, and we should research before always going to the obvious. My story is not solely mine. Much love to you from Mobile, Al!

Amen. It's a gift that if ur not called by God; given understanding and the wisdom to do u can't. Not only that it's not meant for all to understand or appreciate what u do. You are truly providing a service to an underserved population because of the lack of knowledge and fear. Praise God sister keep going. May God increase your wisdom, influence and impact to reach other stylist to help others in rebuilding confident men and women who have settled and allowed appearance to stop them. God bless!!!

I like braids and the designs, I developed traction alopecia over time, I took a very long break from highly tension style. I was determine to heal my scalp and strand. It's a part-time job restoring my hair. I would look in the mirror and ask God what have I done wrong? I'm a beautician daughter, I repented to my hair and scalp and freed myself stress and depression. Gave a closer look to my diet to nurture with more nutrition. I'm still working at the health of my hair and I do have a head full of hair. It looks good Braid Stylist. I get a little sad when I see the condition of some of our African Black American scalps. Thus, I'm happy to see client stand-up with options of beauty hair Art that makes make them feel stylish, beautiful, and glamorous. For me, I searched for my root cause, because I had some hair on my head everywhere. And, I assisted mom in beautiful hair Care for clients who many became friends! Happy Weekend
