I dont plan on having huge success from the start but I do plan on starting part-time just to get my feet wet in the business. I want to keep the financial stability at my current job until I'm comfortable enough with taking that leap to start full time.

I’m part time and I can attest to the fact that it is tuff. I’m still in my first year and am still learning how much I have to balance my time to make this work. I’m not making nearly the money I would like to either. I hope to go full time one day but having a family who relies on my income makes it much tougher to transition than I thought.

Got bills so it did cross my mind to just let real estate fizz out but im deciding to get a full time 1st shift job rite now with a little flexibility with having a week day off every other week. Lets see how it goes when spring hits

Hi, thanks for the insight. I left a 1st & 15th to do real estate full time and it was a horrible experience for me. I am back working and do real estate part time and love it. I love I know my monthly expenses are being paid for sure in comparison to not getting paid after working on a deal 2-3 weeks and then the deal falls through due to no fault of mine... Everyone experience is different and I believe I will be more successful in this way and have a better conversion as a result of properly screening clients their motivation urgency and actually being qualified... I selectively accept clients based on their preparedness and schedule appointments based on my availability (similar to a doctor etc). And if those things aren't insync I'm ok with passing to me its not worth... Thank you sharing her input and I'm further inspired by your work. Have a Happy New Year and hope too see you around in the real estate world soon!

That's why I went to real estate full time. I'm looking to be a successful realtor who is closing more than 2 deals a year. I know working a 9-5 ain't going to allow me to work my realtor schedule. Thanks Chastin.

I have been in Real Estate part time for 2 1/2 years now. I absolutely agree with you, you have to put in a ton of effort as a part time agent because clients see your as part time available. That isn't usually what clients want. I create business based on my referrals mainly, so i don't have time to door knock and do open houses like i want to. But imagine if i went all in..... My year would be full of Real Estate and more checks. I still closed 10 deals in this year alone, but it is definitely on my radar to transition in to full time. As always, love your videos Chastin.

I agree just be sure to have a system, business in pipeline, strategies and discipline because when I first started years ago, everyone kept saying go full time. I did not have those things in place and did not even know how to prospect. I tried to substitute and do real estate after I left my job but I eventually lost everything: house, job - was homeless. Having a team or support system helps until your able to become full time. Some even start complementary businesses (staging, law care, etc..) or retire and do real estate full time. Or have an additional income by being married or something. Either way, you MUST know what to do and have the system, business in pipeline, strategies and discipline or support system in place. Thanks for the video.
