I did the same thing but after that I checked out the elevation on each contours in property , they all have been shown 0.

really great video really appreciate it. but when I run "v to 3d. attr" I only have CONTOUR instead of ALTTITUDE. and I opened the dxf in CAD and rhino the vector values just didn't show up. I checked the alttitude table of my shapefile it worked in QGIS. just somthing wrong with exporting it. Can you kindly tell me what's going on? Thanks.
