Thank you so much for this video series! I have just now restored my grandfather’s guitar, which is very similar to yours. It’s a Norwegian brand, possibly from the latter part of the 1940’s, and has not been playable since probably the 70’s. Seeing as my granddad left this world in the early 70’s, I never got to meet him, so this guitar is quite special to me. Kind of like a link between us. 🙂 Finally I got around to repairing it (refretting, new bridge, custom made nut from a piece of corian, and tuners), and it actually plays very well, and I love it’s kind of chunky, mild tone. But after restringing it, it does sound like a glue job on the braces would be a good move at some point. There’s a slightly annoying vibration when playing. So finding this video series was perfect! I have to say I’m rather dreading the task at hand though!

@@PeterSesselmann oh really! I was actually wondering if you are of Nordic descent. Small world. :) I did a little research on my guitar, and I am fairly sure it's a Halden Musikkindustri. I posted some pictures of it on my instagram before I started working on it, if you want to have a look. ( instagram.com/skauniversal )

Is there a pt. 2 to this video? I have one of these guitars and needs the same repair.
