Nice nuggets. Great couple of videos, entertaining and informative as always. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into them. Thanks. That last helmet would be good against march flies, but not in all cases. The first time we camped at waanyarra my missus just ducked into the shower tent and turned on the water when a black cloud of march flies dropped out of the sky into the top of the shower tent. You should have heard the screams. Now every time i suggest we camp near there all i get is grumbles. Now thats entertainment. Cheers lads and gl on the feilds.

Great finish to the hunt guys. A nice chunk of gold each and a bunch of good loot. Buttons and buckles are great finds. I've found a couple of those same Paris make suspender buckles and another that is identical but marked British make. Hard to find info on that one. Also know Kaz and Stevo. Kaz never fails to comment on my posts in the FB groups I'm in. And starting to pick up quite a few bits themselves too. Great show as always. Bring on the next 👍

Great video once again, fellas. The bottle was pretty interesting for me. A few years back, a mate and I were combing through the mangroves in a Green Zone habitat here on the Northside of Brisbane. We ended up collecting bottles and cans to cash-in at the local bottle deposit place. However, I ended up keeping quite a few because the mangroves trap bottles for years. I found a Fanta bottle, and a Coke bottle from probably the 70s/80s. The Fanta bottle was the one with the patterned glass, and the Coke bottle was a classic large coke bottle. I'll be going back again before I leave here to have a bit more of a hunt.

As I said on the short, you can never have too many hats... 42:00 Glenn, you need a Royal Enfield to match the hat. Put a sidecar on and you and Ant could go detecting on the motorbike. Glenn might remember that TV series, 'Two Fat Ladies' where they rode around England on a motorbike tasting food. You blokes would be 'Two Skinny Blokes' riding around Victoria detecting Gold. TV fame! Ant will need a cool helmet too though...

Oh, did you end up seeing whether there was writing on the buckle? I kind of kick myself sometimes because back in the late 70s when I worked in seismic oil search we came across quite a few old abandoned bullocky camps. The old camps were strewn with tins and bottles, as well as old iron/steel harness pieces for bullock trains. I can't remember what they were called. I had no idea how significant the old camps were until years later. I was just a young lad of 17/18 and it was all an adventure for me.
@victoriangoldhunters

Great follow up to Part 1 guys. Always great to see you put all the pieces of the puzzle together to describe how the old timers went about it back in the day. Maybe a book documenting all this history could be added to your merch store! Keep up the banter and jokes! Happy hunting.

Well done guys, I was starting to think that one of you had found a retirement nugget and there had been a rift, leading to a body found somewhere near Hepburn 😳, so long since the last vid. With the temperature starting to cool down I’m sure there will be others out there soon but just in case Glen, you better tie that wireless around you neck so you don’t loose it again 😂

Hi Glenn and Ant. Been watching your adventures for about a year now and now my wife loves watching your channel too. We live in Wollongong, no gold here, but spend at least a month or so at Maryborough and Bendigo in June and July. Both us 6000's. Glenn reminds my wife of Steve Graham of outback truckers. We have both learnt a lot watching your channel. Hope to see u both out in the bush soon I hope. We are both wondering y both of you don't use a scope, instead of your hands. Keep swinging. Robert and Sharon

I don't use a scoop because I started before scoops and now I think I would leave it first dig. Also I don't like change. Ant doesn't use a scoop because. " I'll have no of your fancy ways here lad ". Glenn

@Sharon Tindall hi Robert and Sharon, how did you go in Bendigo and Maryborough? Great part of Victoria! A month, wow good amount of time. We often discuss scoops in our vids and have a laugh because if I had a dolly for everyone who asks us that same question I’d be a wealthy man. As Glenn said he just never had used them in the past and so neither do I. Personal preference. Hands get the job done just the same. Cheers and all the best, Ant & Glenn 👍⛏

Great find guys. What would you do if you have a signal you dig down and find charcoal, do you continue?
@goldhuntingglenn
@goldhuntingglenn Жыл бұрын
Generally I leave it. But not that long ago I dug a bit under a pile of charcoal that was a burnt log So probably if you below a few inches and the signal doesn't grow it will be the ash Glenn

@Sue Phanos thanks very much Sue! Yes as Glenn said above, generally if there’s ash/charcoal then it will give you a false signal, so all good to leave those when they pop up. Cheers 👍⛏
