I LOVE my chaos coin flip flinger deck. waited a year for that deck to come and then added a few pieces of spice to make it work much better. It never plays exactly the same. It is truly a chance deck. Thumb just turns the chance in my favor.

If you have the thumb out, you can roll a d4 instead of flipping two coins. Probabilities work out the same with a 1 translating to two tails, 4 to two heads, and 2 and 3 as one heads and one tails. Sincerely, someone tired of waiting for you to flip 20 coins before you hit me for 2^10 commander damage.

I know I'm late, but krarks thumb makes you flip twice. If you win the first and dont roll a second time for that set of flips, you are increasing your odds more than the card intends.

There were some really weird editing choices in this episode - notably for me, skipping the full sequence of flips that was critical near the end, so it was unclear what the final result was until it was mentioned in chat and skipping the big Ukkima trigger as well (which made it really look like a missed trigger since we didn't see the life totals to be able to tell they changed for two full turns). Really fun gameplay and amazing guests and lots of great table interactions, but definitely had to stay on your toes with some of those editing choices.

As a professional coin flip player, I roll a d4 for when I(or my table) are fed up with my double flips. On a one is when I fail, or just, get the result I don't want. Also as a professional coin flip player, my dice like to hit me with the 1 in 16 more often than my coins.

That coin flip deck i have. As soon as possible cast the blue commander then the red and if they don't have interaction, you win. Especially with Krark's Thumb. The card draw and beefy commander damage is just dumb. Forget the rest of the deck.

I was hoping Z would cast Okaun on her pre-extra turn and equip the boots to avoid that frostcrown, but also, managing the izzet machine is a mess of triggers and order of operations. I'm not 100% certain she had the mana for it, but I _think_ she had the treasures? Either way, coin-flip tribal is one of my favorite decks for the silly chaos factor.

Any time nerdgirl works with another creator on anything, there are comments about them dating. With this being a partner episode so we thought it might be even more confusing for people who make those assumptions so easily. I've literally been asked if I am dating dozens of different creators. I think the magic community believes people only work with girls if they are dating them.

I figured someone should point out that they were playing ninjutsu incorrectly. The incoming ninja replaces the unblocked attacker tapped and attacking in place of it before the damage step. The original unblocked creature does no damage.

Technically you can do what mald was doing (the timing restriction is “during combat and after blockers have been declared”) but it is almost always better to do it the way you are suggesting. The only thing I can think of that would make sense is if you were trying to win through commander damage.

Z missed quite a few Zndrsplt triggers "every time you win a flip draw a card" that includes any spell that makes you flip.

And both commanders have both an "every time you win a flip x" and "at the start of your combat phase flip until you lose to do x" so I believe you keep flipping until you lose twice.

We would love to bring more people on. Do you know any big creators who would come to Portland for free? 😅 Our show is not profitable and can not bring people in often. We have asked others but are often told no. We have had a total of 29 different guests on the show. Honestly, I'm very proud of that. This month alone we had 3 guests you did not list!!

No apologies needed. We were not offended. We just wanted to point out that there have been almost 30 different guests on the show in 46 episode. Also, 3 this month alone that you didn't mention. We do exactly what you are suggesting with those creators. But very few people live nearby. There are not a ton of creators in the mtg space, less that live nearby, and fewer who are interested in our show. 😭 we do have some cool 1st time guests being edited now! But yes. We focus in people within a 3 hour drive normally.
