So I'm super new to Magic and have found out Tovolar, Dire Overlord is my FAVORITE creature card so seeing him played here it awesome but on top of that, having the camera angles plus the explanation commentary is SOOOO helpful for me. Airball missed transforming Arlinn, which is not a may ability and Full Moon‘s Rise just covers werewolves and not other wolves. I really dislike the day and night mechanic, it is way too clunky for commander. It was already annoying in limited.

That's a nice find, Thank-you! I kept trying to find the line that wins, but I never ran into the trample removes "Assigns Combat damage as if it weren't blocked" issue. Nice Find!

So... funny thing about regenerate. It says to remove the regenerated creatures from combat, does this mean the bears should have lived with no damage being dealt? In fact, shouldn't bears trample over, since there would be 0 toughness blocking the bears during the damage step?

The regeneration doesn't kick in until the creature would be destroyed so at the point they've still soaked and dealt damage. "The next time this permanent would be destroyed this turn, it isn't. Instead tap it, remove all damage from it, and remove it from combat."

After Veggie was eliminated, wouldn't Airball's Kessig Wolf Run return to not being an Island? Since the Merfolk Veggie controlled that turned it into an Island no longer existed? Unless I'm missing something. Great game all the same!

Question.When you regenerate you have to take the creature out of combat. Does trample damage goes thru?

The creature would be destroyed via the damage, so the regenerate causes the damage destroying it instead, taps it, all damage is removed from it, and is removed from combat. So the damage is already applied to the creature and trampled to player in the same instance before regeneration occurs so it can't essentially redo the damage step. TL;DR, damage is delt first, then regeneration/removing from combat occurs

Yes. The blocker that is regenerating still takes damage. It just gets removed from combat after it takes lethal damage. So the difference would trample over.

In my opinion he's the best player in this room. It's not close. Dude literally just won the modern challenge over on MTGO. Playing on camera for the first time, while trying to be entertaining, is a very difficult thing to do. Everyone misses things sometimes, and it doesn't mean they're bad players.
