In the stunning Mt.Elgon area of western Kenya, farmers, foresters, and government leaders are coming together to protect and restore their forests for future generations. With support from Kenya Forest Service, USAID Kenya and the U.S. Forest Service, they’ve developed participatory forest management plans that guide the stewardship of these vital watersheds.
