Doesn’t taiko let you press any button as long as it is the correct color? I am very much not a taiko player so correct me if I’m wrong, but can’t you play taiko with only 2 buttons (on a technicality) while this requires 4 buttons? I will still admit, a taiko player would still probably read this much more easily compared to typical mario and luigi players.

@@SoullessNazzerin Fairly sure that optimal score playing needs 4 buttons, but it's been a while since I've played Taiko myself, while you can hit big notes with the inner drum, it's less score (iirc)

I assume it's because the speedrun raises POW as much as possible or maybe Luigi is wearing the Practice Badge to use Free Bros Moves.

people always say the american version is so much harder because bosses have double hp, but nobody mentions that their attack stats are halved and devense dropped down a bit sometimes
