Emile did **not** have to go that hard with Fawful's final moments, but it was frickin' glorious to hear. Emile's voice acting is always fun to listen to, especially when we get some distinct performances. Miror B, E. Gadd and Ghirahim are some highlights from his past LPs, but Broque Monsieur, Fawful, Dark Bowser, the Toads (of course) and Bowser himself are really fun to listen to. Though the art of the Let's Play is indeed dying, one thing that will always stand out to me is how the good LPers always put in their effort to give the voice to the voiceless.

I always loved that after-credits scene. It shows that even with Bowser's selfish motives throughout this whole adventure, Mario Luigi, Starlow, and even Peach are still grateful for all he's done to save the Mushroom Kingdom from Fawful and the Dark Star's evil clutches, and the fact that Bowser only acts like he doesn't want the cake at first, only to then open it after making sure no one else is looking shows that he's just a big softie underneath all that brutishness.

I LOVE this scene so much because despite his dislike of Mario and evil reputation, it really shows how grateful Mario, Luigi, Peach and even Starlow for what’s he done for the mushroom kingdom. While Mario and Luigi are understandably more than popular, I always love Bowser more than anything because the fact he can take on any role is fantastic. Yes, the recycling of kidnapping Peach is repetitive but seeing him taking a anti-hero/protagonist role alongside his role and portrayal in Inside Story is one of the best characterizations in the franchise and this specific let’s play in general rightfully deserves high praise and recognition. And as a detail, I really LOVE that Bowser logo, I know there will be more bowser voice actors for many years to come but to me personally, Kenny James because despite having few lines, I always loved how he brings personality, characterization, humor or overall portrayal. And I would LOVE to see more of Bowser’s softer side alongside Bowser helping Mario because I do want to see something new instead of just recycling the plot of kidnapping Peach!!! 😃🔥💕

Bowser taking peach isn't repetitive. It's a personality trait at this point. As well as acting evil and at times childish. He is still the villain so Nintendo has to bring up new things to keep the character fresh. (Bowser junior is a great number of examples. Showing Bowser is a good father, who like spend ing time with his son.) It's like that quote from wreak it Ralph. "Just because you are badguy, doesn't mean you are bad guy."

I want to say that Fawful as the Dark Star Core seems pretty happy about it, even willingly reviving Dark Bowser, and when he's inhaled by Bowser joyfully transforms to attack the bros. The Dark Star has every reason to despise Fawful for draining it and could've easily obliterated him when he inhaled him, but nope, he fused with Fawful, making him basically the core of his being. Keep in mind, they both have different goals. Fawful wants to rule the kingdom whereas the Dark Star/Dark Bowser wants to plunge it into darkness. And Fawful willingly assists in trying to achieve Dark Bowser's goal. In the battle, he doesn't cry for Mario and Luigi to help him. Dark Bowser is kind enough to have the Dark Star sustain Fawful's life, and even give him a new body to fight the bros with.

Man the ending got me emotional Hands down this is Bowser's best role in any game. His comedy, cockiness and sheer heroics and badass prowess against the Dark Star. Remember how at the beginning of the game they didn't want to include Bowser in the meeting about the blorbs because even though he was willing to try and behave, they didn't think anything good could come from him? Well he sure proved everybody wrong in this fight.

The remake actually showed why in Bowser Junior's Journey; the Blorbs were also affecting the Goombas, so Bowser actually was serious about wanting to be part of the meeting since his own minions were also suffering. Remember, Bowser's army are very loyal to him so he will return that favor by taking very good care of them.

It's really sweet how Starlow despite Her more obnoxious Flaws, she checks in on Bowser on several occasions after Bowsers inside story by her own choice, not because she has too. It's even shown in later Games that she visits him now and then, often to Bowsers Dismay. But It's a nice touch how in Brothership that Starlow uses the Information they learned in the Flab zones quizzes that Bowsers Favorite food is the spicy drumstick and gives him some during her visits.

I know that Starlow gets a bad reputation for saying unnecessary things and being mean to Luigi but the fact she deeply cares for Bowser despite her obnoxious actions/flaws is one of the most heartwarming aspects of her character and I am honestly glad they brought it back in Brothership because I was heavily obsessed with that moment!!! 😮🥹🤭

Yeah, Starlow just seems to have some weird Out of character moments. Mainly in the latter half the the game where they just made her really mean for no good reason. Bowser getting stuck in the safe and Luigi being cold being the two that stick in my head. The tutorial stuff, to me, isn't even just Starlow. Toadsworth has a good chunk too, Bowser's body tells you a few. She's not my favorite character, but she's one I see potential for. She feels like, the Sister Mario and Luigi didn't have when she's written well.

You made my days better again.Funny thing, the only Mario &Luigi special attack I have trouble with is spin pipe, probably because I have Astigmatism. I do want to reccommend some underrated gems like Fuga: Melodies of Steel 1 and 2. Solatorobo: Red The Hunter. A good emotional game is Omori, in which it single-handidly rivaled the mother series for me( Earthbound/mother series is my favorite game series of all-time). The Mega Man Battle Network series is also a great series to experience in story and gameplay. Maybe someday, you could do a let's play of them. ( I'm partially joking, but I do hope you get to play them). I also want to wish a Merry Christmas to you, Tim, your girlfriend, and Momma conroy ( yes, I refer to your mom as "Momma Conroy"). You are like a hero to me. I hope my money helps you and Tim, but you are doing this for money, you are doing it for fun, and to give others a nice video to brighten up their days. I like to think that Fawful being inside Dark Bowser is comparable to Mario & Luigi inside Bowser. Both of them are pulling the strings and giving upgrades to their respective Bowser in times of need. The only way to defeat either is to stop the people inside. It’s cool, the final boss isn’t just a foil to Bowser, but the bros too- with the addition of Fawful and the Dark Star Core. (also, isn’t Fawful talking to the bros after the fight confirmation that he didn’t lose his mind to the darkness?)

That's a cool little detail about going into the final boss battle as a fellow bad guy- a protagonist would only really care about the impending fight, but it takes a final boss to recognize another final boss setting the scene for the final showdown.

I think someones already mentioned this, but dude! Your voice acting has gotten so good? Like you've always given the different characters personalities in your own fun way, which is honestly one of the most enjoyable parts of watching you play dialouge-heavy games. But i think this has been the first time i'm genuinely blown away by it. Like, the effects you put on characters like the "With our minds" guy, and dark bowser. The way you combine bowsers low growly intimidating voice with his cockiness and cartoonish nature. way you've slowly added more and more insanity, wheezing, and unsettling laughter into fawfuls voice as the dark star slowly corrupted him over the past few episodes, until that FUCKING END SCENE? That laugh you did on the "WITH YOU!" line gave me honest to christ goosebumps, i was not expecting that to go so hard. Sorry if i'm glazing a bit here, but I've loved this lets play from start to finish. It's been a treat watching the episodes each day, and from research to presentation to editing to commentary, you've knocked this one out of the bloody park. Good shit, man. Good shit.

This final boss just hits different from a lot of final bosses and always gives me the chills. I think playing as Bowser is one of the most genius moves ever for a Mario game! Also that ending always makes me smile :)

While it was for selfish reasons (wanting the Dark Star, the Mushroom Kingdom & the world for himself, as opposed to letting Fawful get it first), he did not know Mario & Luigi were helping and nothing heroic (outside of saving his troops), Bowser was still an integral part in helping stop Fawful. So he gets to have his cake and eat it too.

A fun, little attention to detail. If you remember the quiz show all the way back in the Flab Zone, one of the questions was about how Bowser would KO Fawful & Bowser himself said he would defeat him via inhalation. In the end, Bowser did indeed defeat Fawful once & for all by inhaling him. Side note: In the bonus episode, I hope you do show off the rest of Fawful's attacks because there are some fun attacks he does while he has his legs

Now that we're at the end I can finally say I ADORE Bowser and Chippy/Starlow's dynamic this entire game, I think they're so cute! I remember being so sad as a kid when she showed up in the next game on Mario and Luigi's side because I had convinced myself she became an official Bowser Minion at the end of this one somehow. I think they'd do great together, honestly.

Bit of a story to tell: Like a lot of kids growing up, I once frowned on Bowser- sure, lots of the stuff he did looked cool, but...well. Villain, through and through. Never really understood why people liked the bad guys. This game- and this battle *_specifically_* -changed that for me. Seeing the loyalty between him and his minions from HIS perspective, actually having him go through some understandably upsetting stuff (even if he doesn't have much of a leg to stand on when it comes to conquering others' territory)...and then the finale. Seeing what it was like- why Bowser was so _feared_ but also why he's never without an army -made me a huge fan of the big lug. So thanks, Chugga- this was a game from my childhoood I'd always wanted to see you cover.

The way this game ends, is possibly one of the best endings in any video game. Getting a game for Bowser like this is a blessing, and Chugga is right... it is really touching for Bowser to get the cake from Peach, it got me my first time too. In The Final might be my favorite song in the entire series, perhaps even the entire franchise. It's just so incredibly composed, carrying every ounce of tension and stakes that this fight has. This is the final battle, either we win here, or the Dark Star escapes and wreaks havoc across the world. Yoko Shimomura is an incredible composer and this is one of her best.
