Haha, FSX at max settings still runs like butt on *todays* hardware. It’s one of the most poorly optimized sims ever. I know we all have problems with FS2020 and hopefully the majority of big issues get addressed quickly, but even in this early state it runs like a dream compared to FSX.

Aerosoft is Paderborn-based, so they will normally complete all the major airports of Germany: Frankfurt-Mannheim (maybe Hahn too), Berlin (all of them), Hamburg (all of them), Munich, Köln, and Hannover. I also like Munich's layout.

I've had a bunch of issues too since the Japan update. My game freezes and goes to desktop now, when it never did that. The cockpit lights and screens turn off by themselves inside the A320. It's ridiculous.

At 2:22, why multiple DVD and not single high capacity thumb drive? Using DVD seems to be the more expensive route. Optical drives have been in decline for a long time. It just doesn't make sense to put all this work into DVD distribution.

I do hope Asobo are aware of the tendency of planes to suddenly stop taxiing forwards and begin slowly moving backwards, even with throttle at 100%, if anyone takes longer than about 10-15 minutes getting up in the air, which is basically every single one of the proper simmers Asobo claims to be catering to (I sometimes wonder if bugtesters ever bother to start from cold and dark in a parking bay). No, I did not accidentally switch to reverse thrust, though the sim probably thinks it did, that may actually be the problem, the sim switching to reversers on it's own. If that is the case, though, I can not explain how it could happen even on aircraft that do not have reversers on them. This has happened on every plane I have tested it on, reversers present or not. Not to mention controls in your own aircraft being changed on their own when in multiplayer, especially close to lots of other players, like a major airport. The fix for this seems to be to simply not play in multiplayer at all. Turn it off in the sim's options menus. Not good enough. How about many people not being able to even install/load this thing, I think because Microsoft/Asobo assumes everyone has Admin access to Windows? How about pressing 'V' crashing the whole sim. How about the camera appearing to go into Focus mode all by itself, and after you fight the camera for 5 or 10 minutes, the sim crashes to desktop? Fun, huh? Another suggestion: Who thought it wise to change the installation process so that all that was installed by default were 2 planes and a whole host of other things missing? I understand the thinking: You want to save time for people installing the sim from scratch. But did it not occur to a single person to at least tell people to go to the content download area in Profile to download everything else with some kind of message IN-SIMULATOR? Putting it in the Q & A on the game's website is fine, but it didn't stop me from deleting the whole thing and re-installing again because I thought I must have installed it wrong somehow. On reinstallation I of course had the same issue, this time being lucky enough to absently-mindedly click a link which took me to the sim's website Q & A, which, about 3 scrolls of the wheel down, gave me the fix. This costed me twice the time installing this thing that it should have cost, the very thing this move was supposed to avoid, about 8 or 9 hours in all. I'm lucky, I have about a 70mb download speed, which isn't fast at all by 2020 standards, but it's still a lot faster than many. Others take days to download this mammoth simulator. Had that been the case with me, I don't know that I would have bothered the 2nd time round. It's a very simple fix, surely. Despite the latest patch fixing the engine out and black screens of the previous version, there now seems to be a whole new set of even more problems. It's as if they fix one gamebreaking issue, and make 2 more equally gamebreaking issues appear in it's place. Yes, I know there is a dedicated area for lodging these types of issues. What makes anyone think I haven't been there and done that very thing? I leave my comment here too, in the hope that someone experiencing the same problems gets at least a bit more help from it than they have so far had from Asobo on these particular matters. Other than that, it's a sim of great promise, and despite my utter exasperation with the various issues therein, I love it.

That's great, but there is another bug with the A320. The lights keep turning themselves off inside the cockpit. The screens will go completely dark. I'm coming in for a landing, and my instruments turn off. Unacceptable. Can someone fix this problem? Thanks.
