I generally don't teach the M-line to my students, but it is basically the dark band that runs through the H zone (where myosin filaments attach to one another)

I-band error: When relaxed, the I-band is between Z-disc and A-band (or end of myosin). This video incorrectly shows I-band overlapping Z-disc. H-band error: Also, H-band does not include actin or thin filament. H-band is measured from the two inside ends of actin (thin) filaments. This video was helpful with labeling structures. Thanks for that.

Tria Fronda She illustrated the H-zone correctly. I believe you were looking at the A-band.
