There is probably a lot of young teens who would help you work and help you clean the shop. In exchange for learning first hand how to do this stuff. Then maybe if they stick it out with you for a while, you would help them find and work on a project just for them. Good help is hard to find and so is a good teacher. They would also be learning about YT and how to build a following. There is a lot of good kids out there who need guidance and encouragement to do something with their lives. You seem like you would be a great mentor Dave.

Great progress. The skills you’re learning will serve you well with future builds. The time lapse works impressively with the haircut and mustache evolution. 😂👍

My truck being 2004 looks like it suffers from the same problem. I know all manufactures have issues but Dodge still falls short in preventing rust. At least up to the date of when my truck was made. Good to see you care about your neighbors (banging and using loud power tools). As your rebuilding, keep asking your self - what is the best way to build, mount, assemble ect. . . so you are preventing rust from forming as long as you can. Mating surfaces can act like gutters to trap water and salt. Especially the fender mounts. (31 Min mark)

You might want to invest in some step bits, they certainly come in handy, and cut a much cleaner hole. They do not Fray the edges like a standard drill bit, in the end there's nothing to file.

Great channel and I'm REALLY a big fan of the old school powerwagons. Two things. 1) try not to yank the camera around- it may feel natural for you but it is making the rest of us seasick; slower more deliberate pan and focus a few seconds on what you want us to see. 2) the split screen look is OK but broaden the center slice- make it 50% of the view not 33%. thanks, and keep up the great work- we need more old school restorations!

I just had a Korean war era ambulance given to me. It has been in a Texas field for 50 some years. Now that I have my dream truck. I'm building a barn to rebuild the thing. I'm not restoring it. I need creature comforts. Wish me luck. And lots of. Money.

I've noticed that each of your videos has an audio issue. The audio cuts out every few seconds and it's quite annoying. Otherwise, I LOVE your work and the way you present it.

Hi Dave I have a lot of respect in your work. But I have to put my 2 cents in when it comes to your wheel and tires. I herd of and seen close calls with the split rims wheels and military type tires. They are not made for hard surface roads. The sp[it rimes are called widow makers . It's OK to Up grade to a safe level. I'm 73 year old retired Mechanic. Just saying . Like your project , and you have good a helper. Carry on. over
@darrellbeam80533 жыл бұрын
I was about to say the same thing. Take it from someone who has some experience with split ring tires, spend the cash on a modern set that looks close. TBH, I would be surprised if you found a tire shop willing to work on them. As a matter of fact, I believe they are illegal.
@partsandresto3 жыл бұрын
Thank you men! They are dangerous and I’ll be inflating them incrementally restrained with chain.

@@partsandresto Sir. you would not beleave the power of just 35 lbs of psi has. to be safe filling the tires . you should use a tire cage and to be outside . and stand far and to the side . Not kidding. Stay safe.
