I love how Daeran tones down the sarcasm and shows genuine (if veiled) concern and care for Ember. And not just in banter, but in the reactions to story things too! It’s so funny though! The holy-blooded Neutral Evil rich guy caring for the stigmatized witch Neutral Good pauper. They couldn’t be more different and yet their bond is so genuine and sweet.

​@@ekaterinafedorenko5559 Wouldn't exactly say for no reason. I love Ember and I understand she's naive, but it does lead to her pretty much insulting anyone who has faith. Like the banter of her saying her goddess made her a killer. Considering how Seelah became a paladin, I can get why she got pissed at that even if Ember didn't mean it It also might help that both come from similar backgrounds and while Seelah saw Iomedae as someone who saved her, Ember pretty much stated well the gods don't care.

Evil doesn't mean that you don't care for anyone. If you find a liking in something, evil characters are likely even more willing than good characters to fight, kill and destroy for that.

So a friend pointed this out to me, but put it at 1.25x speed. It sounds a million times better. The voices are paced like audiobook narration, which is why it sounds so bad.

I just can't get into the game. The voice acting is all so stiff and lifeless, like they're just reading their lines off a script instead of acting them out. Every time someone opens their mouth the immersion is shattered.

I have been romancing daern and I can at least defend all but a few of his lines, they have incredibly unique if a bit repetitive but stilish and characteristic delivery. Also seela, ember and nenio are very good imo. I admit arueshale disappointed me a bit, expected it to be different.
