I heard that, supposedly, the studio started receiving two kinds of letters after this movie came out: History teachers praising the movie for getting students interested in history, and English teachers telling them the movie has ruined their students' vocabulary.

9:35 Fun fact: the concept of a steam engine is from around 200 BC, and was called an aeolipile. It was a sealed, spherical cauldron suspended over a heat source with two bent pipes protruding from the sides, so that when the water inside began to boil and turn to steam, the steam pressure exiting the pipes would cause the aeolipile to spin. If I were to ever end up in the past, I'd get a job working with a blacksmith so I could build some tracks, a cart with a seat, and a cart with an aeolipile, and kickstart the industrial revolution 2,000 years early by creating steam-powered trains. After I became rich and powerful for my ingenuity, I'd create printing presses (which could also be steam-powered) and work towards increasing literacy. And finally, I'd find some places to chisel a few memes, warnings, and clues that lead to an ancient geocache/time capsule, just to screw with people.

It wouldn't catch on. They already had labor saving devices: slaves.

I'd start with the printing press, papermills for cheaper/easier paper, inks, and the typewriter. I feel that those items alone will kickstart everything with easier recording and transmission of ideas.

You should absolutely see the rest of the series, but something you NEED to see (and I'm pretty sure its on YT) is "Freaked". It stars Alex Winter and an unimaginable number of crazy cameos in a really funny, really weird, and nutso art designed movie. It also has an unaccredited Keanu in it. I like to think of Bill and Ted as the positive side of the 90s and Freaked being the cocaine/acid trip of the 90s

This was one of the most 80’s movies, the sequel is one of the most 90’s movies… but Alex winter (Bill) has a movie called ‘freaked’ which is, in my opinion, the most 90’s movie ever…
@MuadDib04214 күн бұрын
I concur that Freaked is one of the wildest movies ever made and is WAY too underrated. Its not just funny and weird, it also has some absolutely out of this world designs and creature effects. It also stars Keanu in an unaccredited role.

@HardcoreKing1814 күн бұрын
Ted is a nickname. He's saying Ted "Theodore" Logan, just as Bill is a nickname for William. Bill & Ted are actually William and Theodore.
@itsjudemydude14 күн бұрын
@@HardcoreKing18 I think the joke here is that nicknames are usually formatted as, for example, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, not The Rock "Dwayne" Johnson. The nickname goes in the quotation marks, because it's a quote of what people call them. So for Theodore to be in quotes implies that his name is Ted Logan and his nickname is Theodore, which would mean a nickname for his nickname could just be his normal first name, making him Ted "Ted" Logan.
