Anybody who wants to understand the inspiration behind some of the greatest songs in 20th Century Musical theatre needs to watch Betty and Adolph performing their incredible catalog. An added bonus are the numbers from ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY.

They have such great timing. Recently "Maestro" movie featured actors portraying Comden and Green singing "Carried Away". Betty and Adolph were a treasure that can still be enjoyed.

A re-staging of their classic 1959 off-Broadway success. Oh lord, this is so good.

Hey. thats right! There were a string of Anne Bancroft films on the early 80's, where I think, she has done some of her best work. "84 Charing Cross Road", "Garbo Talks", " 'Night Mother" and more. Anyway, this particular video was very entertaining to watch last night.

Actually saw them perform this show in 1979... what a pleasure! Btw, it's nice to hear the line "Never did take you cross the lake in Central Park" in "Some Other Time": in the actual show, this is never sung, since it's the moment where Claire, Ozzy, Hildy and Chip get off the subway at Coney Island (as the conductor calls "Last stop").
