I had a horrible allergic reaction to something I ate at the Black Pelican and felt like I was going to die. Literally after the first bite I started having trouble breathing through my nose. I immediately ran to the restroom where my body was rejecting what I ate. My heart was racing and it was such a horrible experience! I should have talked to management about what happened but I was so distracted by what was going on. I ordered a piece of Mahi Mahi with a side of tortilla chips. We left and it took about an hour and half for the symptoms to subside. I’m a local but live 40 minutes drive away. I’m not sure if it was a bad piece of fish or cross contaminated with something. I don’t have any known allergies to any types of food but I can say I will Never eat there again. I have never had that experience any place I’ve ever ate in my life before or after.
