Most impressed with back break job as I was with front break job. Appreciate the time u take to tell us all the little but important stuff to check. Most of us wouldn't know these things and u could sell us more parts if we missed the little stuff and didn't check em or do em. Thanks for wanting us to be able to do the job and do it well. I feel like u have been so good at showing me how to do this I need to buy parts from u. Ur marketing is working. U scratch my back, I scratch urs. Have a blessed day and thanks for sharing ur knowledge.

Very nice video. Very clear instructions. You did not cover removing the brake actuator pin and lubricating it to prevent it from seizing. I was hoping for a bit more instruction on adjusting the brake cables, but I think I have it. Thankyou for the video.

Did you edit this video? I remember there was a part of this video covering the lever behind the hub that moves the brake shoes. It is a part that had to be lubed to work best. I remember you saying it will seize and have to be freed up to work.
@brianhoward31492 жыл бұрын
I had a very tough time removing the cover housing dust seal. I definitely couldn't push it out with a screwdriver. I ended up pouring boiling water into the cover until it started to overflow into the seal. I let it sit for a few minutes then tapped out the old seal using a 1/4" drive extension and a small hammer.

What is a good way to clean up the hub?? Every brake job I've done the hub is rusted , I usually use a wire brush on a drill.. do you use sandpaper?
@PartzillaParts5 жыл бұрын
Multiple ways, just don't scratch the hub in the process. Extremely fine grit paper is ok, brash brush, no steel...etc.

I have the same Honda Rancher, I have replaced the brakes. The problem I have is the right foot peg keeps getting stuck when brakes applied and I have to manually lift it back up. What can I do to fix this issue? Thanks.
@PartzillaParts7 жыл бұрын
You have to determine why it's getting stuck. Bad springs? Is the lever bent?
@diegorosales24957 жыл бұрын
Partzilla , no lever is not bent.

Have you checked the springs and cables?

How much would it cost to have a top end rebuild on 1999 350 warrior.
@PartzillaParts7 жыл бұрын
If you take it to a shop, you will have to get a quote from them. If you do it yourself, the only cost is the parts and gaskets.

This isn't a brake problem, but my 06 rancher idles high in neutral which makes it shift hard into gear. It also lurches forward while it's in gear sitting still. I figure it's a carb problem but don't know what to check first.

i have a 2013 honda rancher and when letting go of the throttle, the bike makes a rubbing noise. i cant seem to figure what it is.
@PartzillaParts7 жыл бұрын
It's only on deceleration? Could be brake pads or maybe the front tires rubbing on the plastics?
@jesusugalde80657 жыл бұрын
i think i can hear it a bit when accelerating, but its louder and more obvious on deceleration.. we checked if it was the plastics and no, none of the plastics seem to be interfering. its a 420 so it has drum brakes like in this video.
@jesusugalde80657 жыл бұрын
and its coming from the rear end.
@PartzillaParts7 жыл бұрын
You're going to have to isolate the noise. It could be brakes or even differential noise.

The original tires are 24x9-11r and 24x8-12f...will 25x10x12 fit or ride different ? i can't find 25x9x11r tires?
@PartzillaParts7 жыл бұрын
Hard to say. 24 is the height of the tire inflated, 9 is width. If you can get an extra inch high and wide without affecting your clearance, it should be fine. You really should at least match the rim diameter though. So going from an 11 to a 12 could cause some issues.
