It’s crazy that two legends collided here and basically nobody seems to give a shit. Please listen to the Felice Brothers. It’s a goldmine of brilliant songwriting.

I was looking at the latest felice brothers video and I couldn’t believe it was only 6000 views. I figure there’s only a few literate American musicians songwriters left. Conor and Felice being two. In a world that communicates primarily through emojis I suppose it makes sense. A bit depressing. But I mean. There’s at least two of us :)

Great post Four Winds with The Felice bros is great. I remember when that album and the Felice bros 1st album dropped. I saw Bright Eyes play in support of Cassadaga and met Conor. Then saw and met the Felice bros near their hometown during tour for 1st album. They were all very approachable. Good memories and inspiring music.

I've seen Connor perform live twice and to be honest I think he just hates the stage. He thrived in the early 200o's shrouded by the cloak of CD's and small midwest house shows, but as he got bigger, big groups just stresses him out I think. He also never ever talks to his audience...like he's almost scared of us. Still one of the all time best lyricists to ever exist tho! WE love you Connor.
@ran_d_d8 ай бұрын
First time in a while in DC and Baltimore like a year + ago he seemed pretty happy. Talked a bit. Jumped off the stage and sang to a bunch of people in the front.. I’ve only ever been close to him a couple times before they went on.. and I didn’t even try to talk to him because I can tell he waits in the bus until right when he’s going on stage then walks in there real quick. If there’s any kinda show I think he dislikes the most these days it’s festivals or outdoor shows.
@shelliewass9428 ай бұрын
He talks a lot once he’s a little drunk 😂
@mrwednesdaythursday5 ай бұрын
I’ve seen Conor more than 50 times since 1999. To say he doesn’t talk to the audience is an outright lie, or maybe mistake to be more accurate. Never, not even once has he not talked to an audience. Yes he becomes more talkative the more he drinks. He also may be more talkative from one show to the next, but he talks as much as any other band I’ve seen.

Had to have been around 2016 or so, maybeee 2017. I say this because I love the band that's backing Conor up, The Felice Brothers, and their lineup changed a lot in 2016 or so, both their bass player and fiddle player left the band to pursue their own things.

Conor's not doing so great these days. Watching this is a mix of aesthetic glee for the all of the freedom and cathartic glee of the songs and performances but also...this is him while "functioning" . . . there's no hiding his condition here. Inshallah he defeats the Disease of the Will . . . many have, it's not a dream.
