Any practice that involves sacrifice of hen, goat or fish, bull, buffalo, human, or human child. This is anti religious and done for the entities from evil to divine.. Anyone who involves in offering such a sacrifice their own Bhagwaans do not intervene when, after offering sacrifice any trouble comes to them. And trouble is expected to come within 6 months to one year. Then Bhagwaans leave you to suffer the deeds for having got an innocent being sacrificed for self benefit or to get rid of any trouble. There is not one temple in the nation which offers non veg as holy offering in the name of Bhagwaans. There is not one scripture book from Veda, Upanishad, Puran that talks about how to sacrifice a hen or goat. Anything not found written in Veda, Puran, Upanishads is anti religious, evil, and can be called sorcery. Only books from sorcerors, will have names like Dakini, Shalini, Lakini, Hakini, Pataal Bhairavi, , a Yakshini, or Chetaks, or Rakshas these are all entities fr evil to divine but for wrong purpose. If you worship Bhagwaans, and do not practice anything related to these , yet the divines will never feel offended. And Bhagwaans have higher authority than these entities. Then are Yakshinis, or Yoginis, and many more never heard of. Regardless what exists, if does not exist in Veda, Puran, Upanishad. Should not be worshipped nor practiced. This way you save your self from misguidance, wrong practices. And reamin innocent in the eyes of the one you worship.

Have visited Ma Kamakhya many times. Could never stomach the butchering of the Innocent helpless animals killed in the name of Bali. They never came there on their own as u said. They were dragged pushed and ultimately killed. Shastra wanted sacrifice of Shada Ripu, Greed, Love for Power, etc. But why helpless animals are pulled into it? Why is Ma so bloodthirsty ? The Vedas prohibited the killing of animals for ones own taste, but according to various other shastras such as Vishnu Smiriti, and Devi Bhagavatam we can understand that Bali is not Killing but an offering. Hence Various Acharyas such as Adi Shankaracharya wrote "Bali is an exception to Vedic rules of Himsa".

You eat rice, you eat barley, you gram and you eat sesame. These cereals are specifically meant for you. Do not kill those who are capable of being fathers and mothers. Anago hatya vai bheema kritye Maa no gaamashvam purusham vadheeh Atharvaveda 10.1.29 It is definitely a great sin to kill innocents. Do not kill our cows, horses and people. How could there be justification of cow and other animals being killed when killing is so clearly prohibited in the Vedas? Aghnyaa yajamaanasya pashoonpahi Yajurveda 1.1 “O human! animals are Aghnya - not to be killed. Protect the animals”

Yupa is a piiller to which animals would be tied before they would be sacrificed . In Valmiki Ramayana mention of rama eating meat is atleast four times . Mimansa school of Vedic scholars are scholars dedicated there life to revival of Vedic animal sacrifice against Buddhists and Jains. Read about kumaril bhatt , Prabhakar , Abhinav Gupta.
