The AZ-104 exam is going to be updated on July 28th. Since there are too many major changes coming up, I decided to take the exam before it gets updated. And I passed with a score of 946. The practice test course by CrackCerts (link in the description) did wonders for me. Almost all questions on my exam were from those tests. Each answer has a detailed explanation that helped me understand why an answer is correct and why other options were incorrect. Also, it is much cheaper and a lot better than all other alternatives.

Hey Travis, Just want to say thank you for making the decision to make videos like this. I studied for over 2 months using Anki flashcards and the MS learn portal and I did some practice test on Whiz lab and I still failed! I think the AZ104 was and is the hardest exam I have ever taken in my life so far. I ran out of time and I missed the entire chunk of the scenario based question as it came up at the end after my review section when I had a minute left. I am sure I will do better. Aced my exam in the second attempt. Thanks to CrackCerts’s practice exams. I tried different resources to prepare for the exam for my first attempt but couldn't pass. Whizlabs tests are okay. The questions are easy compared to the actual exam and the reasoning they provide for the answers are not very detailed. Measure Up tests are way too hard and also pretty expensive. Somehow crackcerts tests are spot on. They align well with the actual exam and are priced better than the rest. Thanks a lot Travis for these resources 🙂

I have found that the Whizlabs practice tests are much easier than other sources. I typically scored in the 90's at Whizlabs. On a MeasureUp practice test I would be 65-75 percent on the same cert. I ended up scoring roughly 86 percent on the MSFT exam. I do like Whizlabs, but it should never be the only source for practice exams.

I would advise to buy your exam with discounted MeasureUp. I feel like they make the practice exams just a bit more difficult than what you get for real and that definitely helps. Explanations are also really good.😁

Hahaha thanks for the video, The first 4 case study killed me. I was waiting for them towards the end of the exam. I was totally lost when the words "your exam will end click yes to continue". I spent 20 min trying to figure this out, At that point I was speeding to finish the exam. (yes I failed) Now i'm aware of what to expect. with those damn case study.

It depends on the difficulty of the questions, if you get a hard exam you can pass it even answering well just half of the questions.

Trying to figure out a way to study for the exam that will workf for my brain. Failed (660) my first attempt in dec after doing an az-104 QA run course, I struggle badly with the rubbish word play they put on everything and dont get me started on the limited colour these for the exam ui. So wish they would make it a more practical exam similar to the CKA exam that I passed with ease.

@pt_trainer9244 do as many dumps as possible. try to clear the concepts while preparing dumps. If you have time, try doing some handson activities on azure portal. For a reality check give exampro, whizlabs free mock tests

I just passed the exam. I would highly recommend cracked certs. Didn't see anything from Udemy. Whizlabs isn't bad, but they have some of the questions with wrong answers.

Yeah they pulled it a while back it seems. Not sure why but my guess was that it was so close to what’s actually on the test. I’ll try to find a good replacement though any other set of practice tests will do if studied enough.

I'm starting to think the AZ-104 might not be that hard after all. "Here's all the IPs for the various components of an AKS cluster. Which one would you include in a DNS record so clients can access the application?" Anyone who thinks this is a hard question seriously lacks fundamental IT knowledge, because this is actually very straight-forward, even without having any particular knowledge of containers or kubernetes. AKS and containers is my poorest knowledge area because I'm not a developer, and yet I still automatically know that the only IP you would need to map the application to an FQDN for clients to type into their browser is the load balancer front-end IP. Nothing else makes sense at all. Almost any app regardless of architecture will most likely sit behind some kind of load balancer or web application firewall and you would need to create, at the very least, an A record for the front end IP but preferably a CNAME record for the FQDN of the load balancer's front end IP configuration if the service supports it. I believe Azure does for public load balancers and application gateways.
