What a wonderful cruise ship.... emm, ferry :D The appearance of ex-"Napoleon Bonaparte" is really iconic, she looks like a luxury cruise liner or even a megayacht from the outside. Just very sad to see the pool closed - there aren't many ferries with inside swimming pool. I just can't wait to see which one you took on the way back to mainland.

Another wonderful video. I love sailing out of Genoa, one of the more impressive Med ports to sail out of. Corsica Regina looking really rather tired now. Beautiful old ship though.

That must have been shortly before Corsica (Sardinia) Regina was sold to Libya. A few weeks after that, she left Corsica Ferries. Now she's sailing on the Misrata-Istanbul route (Kevalay Queen)

Ah l’époque où on construisait des cruises-ferries à St Nazaire digne de ce nom est bien loin. Je me rappellerai toujours de la différence entre le Napoléon Bonaparte qui était de bien meilleure facture par rapport au Danielle Casanova qui a été renvoyé au chantier après livraison car trop de malfaçons maintenant sur la Corse, on se tape du Ropax et les navires de Corsica Ferries qui sont bien loins des prestations des compagnies françaises avec ce personnel excité…

Das Schiff war bestimmt einmal sehr schön und luxuriös. Mittlerweile (Stand: gestern) ist es leider ziemlich heruntergekommen und schlecht gepflegt. An vielen Stellen wurde notdürftig mit Klebeband geflickt. Am ekligsten ist der penetrante Uringeruch in vielen öffentlichen Bereichen des Schiffes. Der ehemalige Poolbereich war besonders versifft.

Schiffe benötigen, wie alles andere auch, viel Pflege. Es ist schade, wenn das aus Kostengründen vernachlässigt wird.
