abort point and point of no return are different. Check bridge resource management book for deifinition. Abort point comes 1st and then PONR comes.
@taimoorshah7368 Жыл бұрын
What you are saying is right but it's confusing .... After crossing Abort point vessel can still be swing with bow thrstrs, tugs or stern movements etc but You can not cross ''Point of no return'' with tugs, bow thrstrs or astern movement etc The above is just for clearing the subjected matter thanks!

Why pilot comes on ship when ship is near to port ?
@sudhanshuranjan60614 жыл бұрын
To inspect the ship engine and deck
@bhupendersingh63384 жыл бұрын
Because pilot is more aware of the local situation as near the port we all know it's heavy traffic sometimes and narrow channel and less depth and some more challenging condition..so pilot is the one who can safely navigate there and make us to reach destination.

Pilot well clearly about the port station water depth , and which area shallow water is there he know everything in that port why because when enter the ship in port pilot is come and he take it and berthing the ship in port very safety if you any doubt call me 8940455622 ok
@prashantbhosale77444 жыл бұрын
High tide and low tides timings are well known by pilot also which place is shallow according to ships draught. Hence to prevent grounding and oil pollution pilots r required.
