Happy to see you are still doing well! We are currently in Fiji, slowly making our way around.

So good to hear from you. Enjoy Fiji! Kevin still talks about those veggie wraps they had for sale at Vuda Point Marina.

So with you on the one day passages… they’re tough.

They tend to wear one out, that's for sure. Plus, we like being at sea, more these days than ever. Hope you're enjoying Mexico still!

Hi Kevin and Carla; We hope you are having an enjoyable "winter" in Tunisia, and are looking forward to some videos of shore-side adventures while you are there. We are still in Taupo, NZ (until 4 April). As usual, Jan's clock is running ahead and she mentioned yesterday that she is ready to be back in the PacNW. The temps had plunged down to 10 degrees C overnight, but are still around 20C during the days. Meanwhile, it snowed in Bellingham a couple days ago. Be well and safe. Hec and Jan

Hey, while that's a little cool down there it still beats the snow. We just made an overnight run to Malta and we're marveling at the stunning view of Valletta off our bow. There's a few more Tunisia videos to go but then we'll be caught up and real time! The tour of Tunisia video that's coming though is worth the wait. Oh, and a day shopping excursion for food is not your tyocial trip to the supermarket. Wish we could have enjoyed a coffee together but one of these days we'll meet up again.

When going through high traffic areas both of us are on deck. We adjust the watch pattern so we’re both rested before crossing so both alert. We don’t take long off watch, normally 2 on 2 off

We usually do the same in high traffic areas. Sailing down from Scotland across Bay of Biscay the fishing fleets were a real challenge that required to sets of eyes at night. Same off west coast of the US.

Very nice video as usual! What's your plans for the coming season?
@SailingGargoyle10 ай бұрын
Thanks! Right now we've just moved over to Malta and we're looking at Valletta. Plan to spend a month here and then make a run up to Venice to spend time with family. Then not sure. Explore and wander.

@@SailingGargoylecool! We are in Trapani for the winter refitting (Moody 41) and we also have 2 cats (girls)! Who knows maybe sometime our routes will cross! Looking forward to see the Malta's episodes, we would like to sail there in may/june

Why they take your phone? How do you contact family from that far away? Can kinda understand the drone being taken especially if airport/ military base nearby ( haven’t checked maps yet). Still a bit weird they take your stuff but don’t bother with animals aboard/quarantine . I suppose once fully vaccinated and paperwork is in order they’re ok.

Just the satellite phone. We use smart phones and SIMs and data were cheap so no issues there. Think they likely take them so the government can control communications within the country if they need to. A mobile network can be blocked or disabled at any time.

no way i could do this customs and immigration bs.

It's a royal pain at the end of a passage when all you want to do is relax with a cold beverage. But we've spent way longer waiting in lines at Amsterdam and Detroit this past year so it's the price we pay. Thanks for watching!
